I have a bit of spare time on my hand for the next 6 weeks because I do not have any classes scheduled for summer B. So, I spent a fair bit of my time updating my blog. For those of you who have followed my blog would have noticed that I have my own seaykopitiam dot com now, no longer blogspot dot com.
I bought my own domain name and hosted it on godaddy.com.
I have been blogging for quite a number of months now. I started with my investment blog. At that time, I was all on content, I was oblivious on SEO, traffic and all the blog’s tech stuff. Then I went back to my personal blog and from there I met a lot of bloggers all over the world. From some of the professional bloggers, I started to learn a few things about blog traffics , SEO and other tech. related stuff.
Last week, I decided that it’s about time that I got my own domain and self host. So, I did.
It was not an easy process but it could be worst if I do not have friends like Kuanhoong, Ken and Jenny who had helped me in the process.
As I have mentioned in one of my post about 7 thingies about Jamy, I have revealed to you that I am a goal getter kind of person. Likewise with my blog, I wanted to provide a good content for my readers where many of you will become my repeated visitors.
After solving half of my technical issues, now I am thinking of my blog’s direction. What kind of niche market do I want to specialize in ? What are the blogs that I can read to get ideas or to get inspired ?
The next few days or weeks before I go back to my school, I will be researching for a niche area where I want to blog.
My dear readers, when you set out to blog, do you have a master plan ?
1. What inspired you to write what you are writing now ?
2. Who are some of your role models in blogging ?
3. How long did it take you to make a decision on the niche that you want to focus on ?
4. Are you happy on what you are blogging now ?
I love to make this an open topic for every one who is interested to share and participate about their blogging journeys and experiences.

1. I was always drawn to this idea of having a personal journal. It should chronicle my experiences and opinions about the things that affect me. And because some of these experiences can be quite personal, I have no wish to moneytise my blog. I write for my own therapeutic purposes.
2. Zewt. He’s the friend who inspired my drive and whose topics I find enjoyable to read. So, I try my best to write what I would enjoy rereading too.
3. One month.
4. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. But my blog policies are… never delete a post you’ve published. It was my opinion at that point in time, but I am entitled to change my mind.

Investment is my way of life so definitely I will continue writing and investing until my dying bed I suppose !
To do it here or the other side is something I am still thinking and weighing the pros and cons.
Don’t worry you will see me post serious investment series here.
Haven’t you notice my 1st step ? Gold price live quote is on my left side bar.
Now I don’t even have to open a new window.
This year, I have not make any new trade for my gold, I am sitting on my profit.
Ya, gold is going up so much the last 2 weeks, I have not figure out why.

It is your niche, you should take full advantage of it
