  3. Jamy

Yes, Doris, very original idea. He did not have to blog anything just post pictures of the cat. How is that possible, we ask ourselves ?

Yes, more clever than selling ice to Eskimos :)

  5. I somehow have a weird gut feeling that this has some connection with why TV reality series are popular with viewers nowadays. It takes a look at someone’s daily life, their best and worst, and people actually relate.

An obsession with cats, yeah… my daughter has that.

    Cirnelle,
I think what you mentioned :”why TV reality series are popular with viewers nowadays. It takes a look at someone’s daily life, their best and worst, and people actually relate.” is one of the pop. category , there are also serious bloggers who blogged about serious stuff like how to blog better, how to use different tools to drive traffic etc… also fall into pop. category.
But, readers are very flicker minded, you have to continue come out with creative idea, otherwise people go away, your Alexa’s rank can also goes down easily.
I personally do not want to down play these people because there are tools out there to actually know what your readers are interested. If someone really wanted to created a blog with high traffic, that is what they have to do.
Of course, there are a lot of bloggers out there blog just because they want to blog, then they don’t have to necessary want to find out what interest their readers and captured that niche market :).

  9. Yes, I’m sure anything I mentioned about would already have been blogged to death by other blogs. Its very difficult to come up with creative, original topics now, don’t you think so?

  10. Jamy

U can, there are lots of topics that still yet to be discovered, Cirnelle, don’t give up ! Explore !

    Cirnelle,
How about rewrite this sentence “Yes, I’m sure anything I mentioned about would already have been blogged to death by other blogs.” like this

“Yes, I am sure I can come out with something no one has ever come up with, just give me 2 minutes :)”. Change of mindset can conquer the world.

One of the books on my husband bookshelf about this blind guy who conquered the world highest mountain really inspired me.

Don’t ask me the name of the guy or the name of the mountain. I will find out, promise, he he he he he.

    #379
  12. Wah… two minutes only ah? Cham la, cannot think under pressure…

World’s highest mountain is Everest. Blind guy is Erik Weihenmeyer. :)

  14. Jamy

Oh, Cirnelle, ah moi, I am sure you know about this. The forward page he dedicated to his mom. He said his mom always told him he can do anything he wanted to do , even climbing Everest. That was what he did :).

  15. :D
    I’m absolutely agreed with Jamy!
2 minutes can actually tweak something out which is indiscoverable by other blogger.

For example, You want to blog about cats, you will soon find out that this market is highly saturated by people who blog about tips and tricks to care your cats, to dress up your cats, or even to make your cats an acrobatic player!
    :)

So now you think there is no market for you anymore?
    Try this:
    1. Blogging at tips to care cats for cutie boy children below 10
    2. Coolest and Great Cats’ T-Shirt Design
    3. Guide to knit cats’ clothes.
    4. many more :D

I’ve proved what Jamy said, within 2 minutes, I tweak out 3 simple market that are not saturated by lots of blogger. :)

I didn’t mean to teach you, It’s my personal opinion and tips in making a tweak for my market.

  17. Wow, Ken, you are real fast ! I was joking to Cirnelle when I mentioned the 2 minutes !
Never thought of knit cat’s clothes :), cool :)
I am sure there is a market for this knit cat’s clothes cos people here love cat so much. They roll their eyes when I said I love cat curry :)
