Don’t stereotype, who said librarians cannot be fun and creative ?

I thought these are some of the most creative posters I had seen !

These are posters done by our local community college’s librarians. Don’t you think they are extremely creative ? The people in the posters are the librarians !

  1. I loved it when libraries are almost sanctuaries where you can loose yourself in, old buildings with Renaissance domes, lined with bookshelves that require rolling ladders to access the top ones, of course filled with books of all kinds… You can loose yourself for hours because there’s so much to read.

    Unfortunately, I can’t find a decent one here. :(

  2. Ya, and it is also a place for fishing :)
We loved to go fishing (fishing for guy lah) in the library when we were in our junior high. I had always felt I was never as pretty as my girlfriends , they were all very petite where as I was chubby. I felt ugly with my thick glasses too :). Most of the them the guys were interested with my girlfriends and not me . One day while in the library, a Malay guy came over to our desk and handed us a piece of paper and pointed to a guy who sat about 10 tables away. He said his friend wanted him to pass the paper to us. We laughed and we automatically looked at our most pretty girlfriend cos she was the prettiest of us all. When we opened the letter, I nearly dropped my jaw :). This guy must have bad eyesights or what, the letter was for me. We all had a good laugh ! Wow, my heart throb so fast, I thought wow, he was so tall, dark and handsome, how can lah ?
Yes, I accepted the date with all my girlfriends coming along , of course :):).
We all went to movie together, he nearly ‘pok kai’ :).

  3. Malaysia local librarians … *speechless* *rolling eyes* *hopeless* …

  4. Aiyah! No wonder guys were intimidated by you. Bring your whole jing-bang-gang with you on a date! :D And wah… you started dating in junior high? That’s very precocious of you.

  5. I don’t know that is consider dating or not lah :). During the ancient time , dating mean an entire r jing-bang-gang outing ! How to go out with gal alone at those time ? You want all the pak poh neighbor said, now memang came back with big stomach !

Aiya, you did not read my old kopitiam blog earlier, I started dating at standard 1 , 7-years old. Ya, I tried to hold his hand but he did not want me to hold his hand,ha ha ha ha.

  6. Hi, Cirnelle,
I got a bright idea, I think we should collect our comments and publish a blog called a collection of Jamy and Cinelle’s comments ?

  7. It’ll be titled “Ramblings of the Nothing-Better-To-Do”

  8. Nah, a better title will be” Dummies guides on passing KAPOMA board exam” and I should trademark with America trademark org. :):):):):).

  9. i like going to the library, the video library!

  10. Wuching,
    U like watching video ?
Hope your notebook start working now.
    Cheers !

  11. The only library I go to is the University library. Pretty ok books but not that many. All of them is same old topics, never get updated the 4 years I was there. But I like borrowing books, its like having free books every week, which is great! And you learn new stuff for free, thats the best part~ Sigh, now no more library books, all have to buy, because most of the books are not available in the library :(

  12. anT, it is a pity, isn’t it.
    The library here is fantastic.
In fact, we got all the education videos and books from our county library for my son. We have seldom bought any videos or books for him.
Look at how much he have learned over the last 4 years.
My greatest appreciation for our local county library. They are excellent.

Beside catering for my son educational needs, , I get my dose of home and garden fixes (home and garden magazine) , investment (investment magazines), entrepreneur magazines all from our county library.

I hope Malaysia library will catch up one of these days ! Let’s hope !
