I am sorry to let you know that Kuanhoong has written to me that he is too busy this week to write TechTalk. But, I will try my best to come up with a good post.
It is a challenge to fit into Kuanhoong shoes (I don’t mean physically) :). As you all know that I am not as experienced and knowledgeable as he is in blogging !
Recently Kuanhoong posted a post on “Use Social Networking to build Web Presence for your site.”
He listed 16 of them. This is the question I asked him and his answer to my question :[Both can be found on the comment part of the post].
My comment and question :
“Thank you for all the links, Kuanhoong, I always learn so much visiting your blog.
I was also thinking along Mayank view on this : ” it requires good amount of time to invest in social networking sites too. You’ll need exceptionally good skills to make sure that you can manage all the networks pretty fast.”
Should we concentrate on 1 or 2 where we find more suitable to our niche or should be spread ourselves think to all of them to expose ourselves ?
What are your takes on it ? or anyone who has ideas ?

Yes, you should concentrate on 1 or 2 social networking sites that best suit your blog.”
Have you register on these sites ? I did register on a few of them but not all of them.
As you continue to immerse yourself in the blogosphere, you read more and more about social bookmarking or social networking [ I believe both of them mean almost the same thing and can be used interchangeable].
I came across this blog which has even longer list :). “List of 250 Social Bookmarking websites.”
To tell you the truth, with the minimum number of social bookmark or network that I am a member of, I already found it quite an effort to maintain a cordial relationship with my communities members. Since I am so ‘gangho’ about social networking , so I have to walk the talk. I have never failed to go to the social network site where I am a member to say hello to a new reader who browses my blog. I often leave a simple sentence like “Thank you for dropping by !.” to show my appreciation.And I would proceed to visit his/her blog after I leaved my message. With such a small effort, I already found it quite a daunting task.
What about you ? What do you think ? What is your take on this ? I like to hear from you on this issue ? Would you join all the 250 sites ? or you would choose the top 30 as listed by ebusiness ?

Heee… That’s really a daunting task. I think the best way is to choose one or two (Twitter or Pownce and Jaiku) and stick to it. Ignore the other.
No need use all of them. You will lose your breath if you try to keep up with the 250 services!
I have lost from the comment box for more than 5 days around the blogosphere due to an bunch of aliens from china arrived at our office! ;p
It alright ken, you are excused. The only concern I have is not to be captured by the aliens, ha ha ha ha.

Weekend is always busy for me because that is the only time I work :).
Argh! I spent the whole day at the office, being able to read your post through google reader but I couldn’t open your site for some reason. The screen just stopped at the banner and left side column and nothing else! Zilch! Hmmm… is that a tech talk question? Why, o’ why does my stoopid network at the office keep failing on me? Anyways, please forgive my silence.
Ah it seems that Aunty Jamy is getting into the tech talk! I can understand that can happen if you network with tech guys

Hi, Cirnelle! May be your Browser have some issue with Jamy’s blog. I have check this blog with IE7, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.
Nothing seems strange and no break content.
May be you should try to reinstall the browser and see if that will solve you problem.
Hi Ken… Thanks, but I don’t think my office would let me reinstall to read a blog. Hehehe! And I also think it could be the connection, been bad the whole week, so it didn’t really help when the browser had to load so many “ads”. Could that be the reason?
