What drives these people and their companies to be listed on Inc. 5000 ?
Passion, zeal or resources (they have more money than others ) ?
Let’s read 3 of the inspiring stories from CEOs on this year’s Inc. 5,000 list.
1. How I Did It: Joaquin Galan, CEO, Galypso.
Despite my lack of success, I realized I had developed a keen sense for finding solutions for my sales customers, and I began looking for advancements in the Mexican market that U.S. companies were not taking advantage of…
I am living my dream of helping my country. Despite the economic pleasure attached to owning a business, for me, it’s more about adding value.

2. How I Did It: Rachel Coleman, CEO, Two Little Hands Productions.
My oldest daughter, Leah, was born deaf. We found out a year later, when my sister turned on a CD player and it blared at full-blast. Everyone jumped — except Leah, who just sat there. When she was diagnosed, I was singing in a band, writing music, had just put out a CD. I was all music all the time. Suddenly, there was no place for music in my life. My only child couldn’t hear anything — how could I go to band practice for four hours a day? So I stopped playing music. Instead, my husband and I focused on Leah.

3. How I Did It: Randy Horn, CEO, Zobmondo!! Entertainment .
Randy Horn began asking ridiculous questions years ago. His favorite: “How much money would it take for you to eat a live, kicking cockroach?” Answers ranged from five bucks (”You better hope we don’t find one, because I’ve got a $5 bill,” he’d reply) to no money on earth (”There’s got to be a number,” he insists). Little did he know, but the questions that worked for years as pick-up lines would become the basis of a $2.4 million company called Zobmondo!! Entertainment (No. 696 on the 2007 Inc. 5,000). Why Zobmondo? His buddies used that word in lieu of a profanity. “If you stub your toe, that’s Zob; if a car runs you over, that’s Zobmondo!!”
Over pizza and beer, Horn’s friends brainstormed hundreds of “Would You Rather…?” questions (the first: “Would you rather bite the curb and get kicked in the back of the head -or– get a paper cut on your eyeball?”) There’s no right response — as long as players are engrossed in spirited debate.

What do you think ? Let us caste our vote ?
I have read so many blog posts about if you want to be ‘rich, think of $’ kind of tune, which really made me cringe like Matt Jones screamed in his post : Why News Blog Posts are Dangerous, here.
I think what I am driving home is what drive successful people to be what they are today is passionate in what they are doing. The drive to be the BEST, the drive to be EXCELLENT in what you are doing. Will money follow the best ? You bet !
1. Tigerwood , best of the best
