The story of page rank

I thought the article on Brown Thoughts about Google Slap Dance Continues: The Zero Hour was rather interesting. Apparently, there are a lot of bloggers who have been affected during this round, a lot of experienced bloggers have gotten zero on this last round. A lot have been written on the blogosphere during this last ranking.

Andy Beard on his post about : ZeroRank – More PageRank Carnage (Round 5) mentioned that “Andrew Ooi has compiled a short list of Malaysian sites, many were as much as a PR5 previously, and currently show a PageRank of zero (a white bar).” I went over to Andrew’s blog and it seems like Andrew Ooi has listed 23 Malaysia blogs that gotten zero rank and that included a number of famous and experience bloggers.
This blog by the grace of God has maintained its PR3. I really do not know what to say for I am a new blogger and don’t know much about all the things these people knew.
I thought this post by Rob at Home Biz blogger’s blog comes very timely : Sudden Loss of Page Rank – How to Protect Yours. If you are interested, you can read it here.

Thanks for the mention. Great job on maintaining your PR
Hi Brown Baron,
.
You are most welcome. I don’t deserve it. My blog is not 1/2 as good as yours. Might be in a few days they will also give me a ‘telor’ in Malay language it means zero
Thank for dropping by.

Mine is PR0 now..
Keeyit,
Sorry to hear that, don’t give up, continue to build content and readership.
Jamy
can anyone tell me all this in laitmen’s term?
I’m a bit outdated and know nuts about this PR PR thing … LOL
Thanks a lot for the mention. That post ruffled some feathers which is understandable as I’m sure many people who made their $ exclusively from selling blog posts are quite upset and most likely in denial.
Is loss of PR disappointing? Absolutely, but it’s business as usual. I just no longer have any green at the top of my screen
