John Denver’s Rocky mountain high was one of my favorite songs while I was growing up. I always wanted to visit the Rocky mountain when I was younger and I did just that 17years ago. The breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains alone would make just about anybody choose to buy a house in Colorado. Colorado has big blue skies, with 300 days of sunshine per year on average. That’s even more than San Diego, California. You would have thought with all that natural beauty and phenomenal weather that Colorado real estate prices would be comparable to those in Southern California. However, you would be surprised that many Colorado areas are half to one-third the price of some California real estate.
