I am sad to see Mr. Howard leaving office !
I hope this will be not happen : “The results could see one of the United States’ staunchest remaining allies in Iraq lose power to the anti-war opposition.”. Mr. Howard is my favorite Australian PM . He is one of US strongest supporters of the Iraq war and I am so sad that Howard has to leave office : Howard sets November elections.

Australia lost a great leader with Mr Howard leaving and I feel sorry for the people. Mr Howard, you are one of the very few who stand strongly on your belief and I am very proud of you as an American.

well, i think it’s healthy to change power… 11 years isnt a long period compared to malaysia… but hope the labour party will do equally well.

I am afraid the labor part will make the already somewhat socialism Australia more socialist. By then, there will be more people on welfare than people working. For people like Wuching and me who are money face where to find more money to make in a socialist country ? you tell me ? When his kiamsiap boss realized that more tax from government, he will decide to cut more cost and my poor Wuching is not able to collect more of his star craft toys

If everyone mentality is when I have problem, it is the fault of the government , the government should fix it, so government raise tax in order to fix the problem and where would the business and industralists go ? Of course China , Malaysia, Burma and Thailand lah because more cheap labors, and Zewt who are going to flee Malaysia because of cheap labor and long working hours end up living on welfare and depressed because cannot find any decent jobs that pay enough.
I hope Australia well because 1/2 my immediate family are Australians and I want Australia to be strong economically because of my family ties there. But even with my eyes close, I knew what would a socialism favor party would go. Sorry folks, I am a capitalist and there is nothing more important to me than cari duit beside God and my family , ha ha ha ha

Yes, it is a sad day for Australians (though lots of them don’t even realise it) when they voted out the Liberals. Still, Rudd promises to be different, let’s hope he knows how to steer the economy without bringing back the unionists.
