I was born in an island, and it is our culture to use baby slings.But, it is sad that more often times, people who are from poorer and under developed countries try very hard to copy the more affluent and modern West, so it has been a long time we exchanged our baby slings for more modernized baby products such as stroller. However, I notice baby slings has became hot baby items in the West. I personally think that there are a few reasons baby sling has became such hot items because baby sling provides a similar environment for babies like they are in their womb, the closeness that baby sling provides sercured feeling to the baby and the other reason is that it supports mother back.
