US$, Gold and our life.

By Jamy

Before I boarded my flight to Taiwan, I saw a money changer counter while I was walking towards the gate I was supposed to take my flight. I decided to change some US$ to Malaysian ringgit RM$. I was astonished that the rate, it was US$100 to RM$300. Last year I was getting like US$100 to RM$380.

Is America no more the super power it used to be ? What happened to our money ? It’s going down the hill.

Goodness me, look at how much US$ has slided !

  1. Jamy,
I just mailed a banker’s check home. It’s hard to believe it’s sliding so much. It’s getting weaker and weaker.

Glad that your gold investments are making a lot more than what you have lost on the currency exchange.

    Stumbled.

    Jesie,
The way USD$ continues to slide is a big concern for us American.
Malaysian banks are betting on it continue sliding.
The FD’s rate for 1 month is so much higher than 3 mths for USD$.
I hope every American buy gold to protect themselves from the next big depression, probably more than our great depression in the 20’s.
It is no good that a few people are rich because the poors will robbed you because they do not have.
Do you know the last I noticed on Kuching women, be it Malays, Chinese or Indians, they no longer wear gold chain, or gold braclet except custome jewerly because there are too many illegal Indonesians who crossed our boarders.
These illegal Indonesians are worst than animals, they robbed, they killed and they set fires on people houses.
Kuchingnians no longer can walk on the street freely with gold jewelry.
Very sad side of the society.
Because Indonesians are poor, so the Malaysian also cannot enjoy luxury goods anymore.
Like some of the cities in the states that boarder Mexico.
So, don’t be too happy to be rich when the others around you because they will get what you have by robbing.
The best is teach them how to get rich, so they don’t rob you : the spirit of capitalist.
    Cheers !
