The Malaysian connection series (2) : Dec 2007 trip : Orchids

Orchids are very common flowers in Malaysia but not so in the States. It is very expensive flowers in the states. I see a lot of orchids in Florida but of course not as abundant as in Kuching. I could not find an entry for orchids in Wikipedia . Might be some of my Malaysian readers should edit one .

While I was walking , browsing and enjoying myself in Sunday open market (but I was there on Saturday), I took some of the orchids flowers pictures to share with you.

Beautiful! Worldwide, there are more species in the Orchid genus than any other genus.

Ahna,
Most orchids are wild in my country but there are a lot of people who plant orchids in green house as well in my country.
People love orchids in my country. They give orchids as presents and gifts too.
