I am hypersensitive to perfume. So, it is very important I chose the right kind of fragrant to wear on my body. I remembered I have to give it a miss on the the perfume shopping tour in Paris many years back.

When I was leading a jet setting life style in my younger years, Anais Anais cacharel was the only brand that suit me.

Beginning of this year,while I was in Malaysia’s international airport duty free shop, I wondered if any of the duty free shop carried the perfume I use to wear. I thought might be I should buy a bottle to take back to US. I felt really stupid when I asked the shop assistance about a perfume I used to wear long time ago because I had no recollection of the name of the perfume, neither the brand and what kind of flower fragrant.

First, I gave her the wrong brand. I told her it was an old Lancome’s product, so she showed me this :

She thought might be I wanted the older collection of Lancome :). She showed me all the vintage collection of Lancome. I thought, no, that’s not it.

Then I told her, might be it was Estee Lauder’s ?

Then I gave her another hint. I told her the fragrant was from hibiscus’s.

Of course, it was not. I was so disappointed. It was like I got the news that my long lost friend was dead.

Just when I was about to leave the shop, I I saw this :

It was not Lancome, it was not Estee Lauder, it was not of hibiscus scent, it was Anais-Anais cacharel. I must have the traits of Alzheimer’s disease ! I finally found the perfume that I long lost :).

In fact, the one I used was not even perfume, it’s Anais Eau de Toilette. It was created about 30 years ago, made of cedar, leather, and flowers. And I was very naive to think that I could not get it in the local store in US thinking that I could only get it at duty free shop. And for all you know I can get it in Wal-Mart.

That brings us to the question of What product Wal-Mart does not sell ? ? :). A good question ? don’t you think so ?
