Farewell Fei Fei.

By Jamy

Affectionately known as “Fei Fei” (Fatty) or “Fei Jie” (Fat Sis), Sum was one of the most recognisable icons of Hong Kong cinema, thanks to her rotund figure, jolly smile and iconic horn-rimmed glasses.

  1. My tribute to her. She’s a favourite of my family, whenever she’s on screen, my mom would say,”hey Daniel, do you remember who this is?”. Ya, of course I do, she has such a good personal branding of herself, it’s impossible to have forgotten the horn-rimmed bespectacled woman, with her loud voice that never fails to attract the attention of the cats at the gates, or something like that. It’s a tribute to her comedian forte.

  3. I never knew she has passed away. When I was in Hong Kong, I learned form my tour guide that upon completion of the tunnel through water, she was the first person to cross it because the Feng Shui master said so. That was not too long ago. Dyng at 60 is considered young.

    Jesie,
She only passed this week. Incredible how much people believe in what Fung Sui master has to say :) .
I often laughed when I heard Fung Sui talks. I often wondered how these Fung Sui masters know so much about alter people bad Fung Sui but not their own. I am sure many of them would be Bill Gates or Warren Buffet.
I don’t believe all those stuffs, I believe in honest work, hard work, common sense, right strategy. I see many Fung Sui master/mistress get into some worst Fung Sui of their lifes. One bad things after another. I wonder how on earth they can alter their own Fung Sui :) .

It is a joke when I heard about Fung Sui. Yes, I am Chinese but I don’t believe in all that :) .

  5. Yes, it is sad to hear about it. :(

About the Feng Shui, I think it is just another psychology tool. It is something like the Law of Attraction too (LOA). When you believe it, it is going to happen. Chinese has a lot of this kind of stuff and whether they’re real or not is not important. It is a matter of whether you believe in it or not. It is meant for make your life better. So in the case that you don’t believe in it, therefore it won’t work for you.

Having said so, I do not 100% believe in it too. What I usually do is to apply the Feng Shui with my own definition using my common sense.
