Do you think this is a feasible solution with our existing housing market ?
Josh Spear in his article about TailerWrap mentioned that
“With ever-increasing wage and wealth disparities in our economy, many American families look to the mass-produced mobile home as an affordable and convenient place to live.”
And Preston D K from Jetsongreen.com wrote a post titled : “TrailerWrap Project, Mobile Home to Modern Pad” about
Exploring issues of sustainability and energy efficiency, the TrailerWrap Project aims to provide simple, affordable solutions to improve conditions in mass-produced, low-cost mobile homes. Mobile homes are a prolific form of living, and important one, but they can be inefficient, ugly, and uncomfortable to live in. So the University of Colorado at Denver College of Architecture cooked up sketches and prototypes, a kit to transform the common mobile home. And now, that process is complete and they have the first actual TrailerWrap home.
and if you read what Treehugger has to say about modern prefab home, you probably will buy into the idea :
“For those who wonder why Treehugger likes modern prefab so much, here is the answer. We think people can live with less and don’t need so much space. We think prefabrication generates less waste and more opportunities for greener construction methods and technologies. We think traditional land development restricts peoples choices and costs too much money. We think the miniHome is just about the best answer to the question that we have seen anywhere. Ever.”
Don’t you think this is a fabulous mini home ?

I love the About page of CEO of LivingHome :
As a kid, I had books on Frank Loyd Wright and built cities out of Legos…
Steve Glenn
CEO, LivingHomesP.S. I still have my Legos and I still play with them. Our modules are kind of like big, 10,000 pound Legos. Only they don’t snap together or come in bright colors.
This post is dedicated to the two architects whom I have known, their works can be found on a lot of Sultan of Brunei projects and they are Francis of Kuching Kayak and my brother, Kung.

Wow, that sure does not look like a trailer any more! But I am not so sure about that roof. It looks like an accident waiting to happen .. I mean, when a strong wind blows a certain way, looks like it can fly in the wind!
The Column that support the roof beams are made of steel.
Chick on the picture on steel , you will see more clearly : http://www.trailerwrap.net/
