Recently our county has the biggest cut in the most recent 20 years; and the biggest cut is enforcement area. Well, today I read from Washingtonpost.com that

To ease the overcrowding and save California about $1.1 billion over two years, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) has proposed freeing about 22,000 prisoners convicted of nonviolent, nonsexual offenses 20 months earlier than their scheduled release dates. He also wants to place them on unsupervised parole, saving the state the cost of having all parolees assigned to an agent.

I think that is a good move though might not be the best.

This cut that cut, I think at the end of the day,we might end up to be the world slimmest nation, that might be good after all. I could not remember where did I read it but a young boy from Africa say if America is a poor nation, he rather be there than in Africa because if even the poor people are fat , then it must be in heaven to be rich in America. So, this little boy dream is go to to America when he grows up. Might be he is right, I see a lot of people with food stamp who queue up at the check out counter wear more jewelry than me and are much fatter than me, I am sure they spend on more $ on their grocery bills than me.
