I got my first pay check this Friday. Though I have worked before this in the US prior to going back to school but I considered this as my first professional job in the US. I wanted to threat my family to an expensive ‘restaurant’ dinner but I changed my mind when I got out of the training class at 2:30am. I thought there were ample of time to do some grocery shoppings and ample time to prepare a delicious meal for the family .

I went to the store to get some seafood , fruits and dessert. I got some shrimps, crab cake, snow crab, water melon, honey dew , a big chocolate cake and 4 packs of Dove’s rick dark chocolates.

I remembered I bought some Roni rice with Italian cheese and herbs way back when I started couponing and I have not used them . So, I cooked the 2 packets of rice and they turned out to be so delicious that my hubby asked me if we could have Roni Rice more often . I remembered with coupons, they only cost me 50cents for 2 packs from publix .

And I also cooked the shrimp with pamersen cheese and slightly cooked the crab meat.

After that I treat my family with the rich chocolate cake and water melon.

My husband and son keep thanking me for a wonderful meal that I have prepared. I feel very blessed with all the blessings that we received from the Lord. We gave thanks to HIM for the bountiful blessing in our evening family devotion.

Beside these food, I also bought a fair bit of food from the store and I have difficult getting all the food items inside the fridge. I told myself, I think I should share my blessings with others. Today, I asked one of our neighbors if she like to have some watermelon , honey melon and chocolate cake. She said she did not like water melon but her son liked it and she like honey melon and chocolate cake. So, I gave her 1/2 of the watermelon, a honey melon and 1/2 of the chocolate cake. And even then, I still could not find any room for the other honey melon.

I am really thankful for all my blessings. I was not even working yet the last 2 weeks, I was sitting in the class with free coffee, bagels, cereal bars for my orientation cum training and with pay. Isn’t that something, my employer pay me to go to classes ? Whenever I hear about news of people who are being retrenched or laid off, I am even more thankful of my situation. And I was pleasantly surprised that I got a pay rise even at the 1st week (I do not know why, how but I am not going to fight over it ). Ya, I could not stop praising the God I worship who continue to shower blessings after blessings. I am blessed !
