I was paid 86cents for these diapers.

I was paid 86cents for these 3 packs of Walgreen brand diapers today.

There is a buy 2 get $5 discount coupon from the store’s July Saver booklet.

And there is also a buy 2 get $5 discount coupon from their store’s August Saver booklet.

And this week there is a $5 reward value if you buy 3 packs of CVS diapers.

So, I paid

(3 x $5.99) x 1.065 (sale tax) - $7.50 July coupon and - $7.50 - $5 = -86cents .

In fact, I did not know about this kind of deal until I read hot coupon world web site.

You see, Walgreen has a monthly Easy Saver Booklet which has coupons and rebates for their products. And there are 2 days that overlap on July and August Easy Saver Book.

July deals run from June 27 to July 26 and August deals run from July 25 to August 26.

A lot of their products deals are duplicate. The best example is this diaper deal, the July coupon stated you will be deducted of $5 when you buy 2 pack of Walgreens brand diapers and so is August coupon, and plus the fact that this week, they are having a buy 3 get a $5 store credit. So, that is a really cool deal. I heard that some of the members from hot coupon world site bought 20+ pack of diapers.

Say you buy 24 packs of diapers and you pay $5.99 for each, that is $153 (tax added)

And for every 2 pack of diapers you get $10 discount, so with 24 pack, you get $120

And for every 3 pack of diapers , the store reimburse you with $5 store credit, so for 24 pack, you are getting $40 back.

So, you pay $154 - $120 - $40 = -$6 (you get $6 back for 24pack of diapers), you ask is it for real or what ?

Yes, it is for real, I suppose only in America, right ? :):).

I hope more women will learn how to take advantage of using coupons for their house hold goods, it is a great way of saving money.

Just imagine if you have lots of kids, just diapers alone can cost a lot of money and with these kind of deals, you are really saving a whole lot of money.

As I check the July and August Easy Saver Booklets, I realized diaper is not the only products that have duplicate deal, in fact, a lot of products have such deal. In fact, you can get rice cooker, fan, toasters and many products for free. I have not have a lot of times this month to do all these budgeting but I am sure once I finish my board exam, couponing will sure be one of my part time job :):).

I know the rice cook was $9.99 last week and the fan is $9.99 this week, with the July and August rebate, the rice cooker is $3 and the fan is free !

See why I get crazy over these kind of deal ? Whatever money I saved through my purchase, I can use it to invest GOLD !

I think if my mom is here, she will be doing couponing everyday for all the deals that are out there :). I remember when I brought my child to see my parents 2 years ago, diapers were extremely expensive in Malaysia ! I remembered paying $52 (Malaysia money is about 1/3 of US money) for a pack of diaper, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw how expensive it was. Every time when I went to the store to get diapers, I had to close my eyes because it was expensive for me to bear ! I do not think people in Malaysia could believe one can get diapers for free or being paid to get diapers; or getting fan for free or pay only $3 for a rice cooker. That is really unheard of in Malaysia. That is why one of the reasons I love America so very much ! We live in a very blessed country and often times we do not realize how blessed we are until we travel out of the US , then we really hit by the fact that we live in a land full of opportunity and a land of the free and for the free !

When I have the time, I will take a picture of all the free shampoo, tooth brush and tooth pastes that I have gotten since I started couponing, it is just unbelievable !

Today, I also gotten 27bars of 14oz Hersey special dark chocolate for $6 !

If only I can get houses for 1/2 of its cost or 10% of its cost or even better, get paid to get a house, ha ha ha. I knew in California, you can get buy 2 get 1 free house deal !
