It is hard to imagine how much I have changed my shopping mentality through couponing. I no longer is willing to pay any product with full price. I always look for 50% discount on any product.
Hubby had nasal congestion and sinus headache this morning and the little one had a swollen right eye when he got up this morning. We decided to go to the local urgent care. After the visit, doc advised hubby to get Caritin for his allergy issues and also prescribed a nasal spray for him.
We dropped by Publix to pick up the prescription. Saw a whole bunch of shoppers in publix, talk about recession ? Well, I walked into the deli section because the smell of the fried chicken was too tempting. I asked one of the ladies who were in line if the $3.69 is for per lb of fried chicken breast or per chicken breast. She told me that frankly she did not know if $3.69 is for per lb or per chicken breast. I decided no, I am not going to buy it.
While walking towards the pharmacy area, I was thinking in my ancient head that how many American consumers out there know about their monthly budget or if goods are reasonably priced ?
Well, when I met my hubby at the pharmacy area, I reminded him not to get Claritin until I go home to research on printable Caritin’s coupon. Of course I did :).
CVS this week has sales on Claritin, it is $18.99 (40tabes) and $2 extra bucks rewards. If you take advantage of their $5 coupons on every $30 purchase. 2 boxes of 40 dissolvable tabs are ($18.99×2)-$5-$6=$27 which is 33cents per tabs, which is extremely cheap if you do use Claritin for your allergy issues. One of my girlfriends told me she bought a box of Claritin (6tabs) for $5.99 at Walgreens this week, which comes out to $1 per tab.
