A frugal start at 2009 !
There are a number of very resourceful coupon sites that provide a lot of internet coupons and also matching of coupons vs sales. However, sometimes I find a lot of stuffs are not what i want so what I intend to do this year is to get an inventory of stuffs I want and find deals on those stuffs.
To start off the new year, I am stocking laundry detergent. I am also keeping an inventory of stuffs I bought in 2009 on this page.

Before you head out, print out these 2 coupons, save you $6 instantly.
1. $3 off $5 CVS brand purchase here -> coupon
2. $3 off $15 purchase here -> coupon
At the moment CVS is having promotion of buy 1 get 1 at 50% of CVS brand and all brand of laundry detergent has buy 1 get 1 free this week.
CVS Laundry detergent at $5.79 (32 loads) and the 2nd one for $2.80.
all Brand detergent is buy 1 get 1 free at $7.49. You can print 2 $1 coupon from their web site here -> coupon
Total cost = 5.79 + 2.80 + $7.49 = $16. 17
Coupons used = $3 (cvs brand) + $3 (purchase $15) + 2 $1 coupon (from All detergent site)
Net cost = $8.17 for 4 detergents ($2 each); total 128 loads. if you do one load of laundry a day, this will last you 4 months.
If you have 2 CVS cards, you can do this 2 times. So for $16, you are spare from worrying about your laundry detergent the next 8 months.
Side Note : I am very excited that Publix accept food lion coupons. So if you are going to publix this week, make sure you print out this $2 off $5 purchase on produce coupon here -> coupon. Jenny at Southensavers dot com is very generous to compile a list of Food Lion printable coupons, so if you are interested, they are here -> coupon
