Cheap Vegetables this week at Publix

By Jamy

I used to lament that I could get anything for 50% or free except fresh vegetables. Well, now I am able to find cheap fresh vegetables.

Thanks to Publix coupon policies, they allow competitors coupons, so now I can use Food Lion coupons to buy vegetables at Publix.

This afternoon, I saw this fresh Kale at 43th street Publix, it is buy 1 get 1 free for $2.99 and with $2 off $5 for every produce purchase, I am getting 4 bags of fresh Kale for $4, that is $1 each. That is very cheap for $1 Kale !

And this is the kale. (Sorry for those of you who works tomorrow, you might have to miss this deal, oh well, there is always next deal. Deal end tomorrow, Wednesday).

I am not sure if other publix has this deal or not but 43th street was where I bought the kale.

Love popcorn ? Well there is a buy 1 get 1 free deal on Orville Redenbacher’s Popping Corn . Get your coupon here, make it less than 50cents a box.

    Tracey,
    I usually do stir fry.
    1. Olive oil + garlic
    2. Stir till garlic turn slight brown
    3. Add on Kale
    4. Add on 1/2 cup of broth
    5. Add on olive (green or black)
    6. Add on ham or any kind of meat you like

Or sometimes I make kale quiche (it is like substitude spinach with kale).

Kale has the highest anti oxidant element in all vegetables. Simple Living by Martha Steward has a lot of recipes on Kale.
