$1000 Frugal Challenge 2009
One of the mothers in my son school class and who is also my coupon buddies shared with me her frugal challenge for 2009, she named it “$1200 Frugal Challenge 2009“. She inspired me to start my own frugal challenge 2009. I thought since she has 3 girls and I only have 1 boy, I probably should set my frugal challenge to $1000
.
Well, in case you need to stock up free Colgate tooth paste, well, this deal is for you.
This week, CVS has this really sweet deal which makes 3 Colgate tooth pastes free ![]()

It is 2 for $5 and there is a $2 ECB (extra bucks rewards)
And there is a $1.5 coupon where you can print and make your Colgate free ! Print your coupon HERE.
This is what I did today.
I bought 2 Colgate tooth paste , paid $2.34 and get back $2 ECB
Then I bought 2 boxes of Soy Joy, they are $6 a box and get back $6 ECB, so I paid $10 and used the $2 ECB for 2 boxes of Soy Joy snacks bars. From this deal, I got back $12 ECB. I then used the $12ECB and purchased another 2 boxes of Soy Joy. The limit is 5 boxes. Since I already bought 1 box on Wednesday. So that is the limit for this time.
So I paid $12.34 from my pocket today for 2 tooth pastes and 4 boxes of Soy Joy fruits bar and got back $12 ECB for next purchase. Now that I am having this $1000 challenge, I think I am going to use the $10 for milk in the future
Total spend $12.34
Left to spend for 2009 = $987.66
I hope you will follow me through this challenge
.

Ahh, you are brave to go as low as $1000 for the challenge! Maybe you will buy milk with SOME of the $12 ECB and then use SOME to do any NEW CVS deals next week and use NO out of pocket money huh? Thanks so much for the Colgate coupons, I will go do this deal tomorrow. ALSO a heads up that it is being reported that you can do up to 10 TEN of the Soy Joy ECB deals!!! Good luck on the challenge.. I will be WATCHING you!! LOL!
