Maths = $9.99 + $9.99 - $2 (coupon) - $2 (coupon) - $4 (ECB) - $4 (ECB) - $10(rebate) = -$2 ($2 profit)
So if you buy 2 of these mouth rinse you are making $2.
And the Ear Rinse is also free, you pay $7.99, you get back $7.99 ECB.

** Side Note :
One of my readers asked me what is an ECB ? It is like a cash that is given back to you when you buy a product.
This is an example of an ECB that I gotten back from buying 2 bottles of Gillete’s shampoo ($3ECB for each bottle). I can use this ECB like cash for my next purchase on any product.
If you combine coupons, ECB, your dollar can goes a long way !
One of my girlfriends asked me why I have never told her that she can scan her CVS card to get coupon at CVS store, she thinks I do not tell her everything that I know about couponing or I will tell you bit by bit :). I laughed because I know she was joking but I really think couponing is like any skill in life, the more you do , the more you will perfect the skill.
This is how I view couponing skill 
1. Beginner step (elementary): Save 50cents to $1 on products that have coupons (save some money)
2. Intermediate step (high school) : Use coupons on buy 1 get 1 free products (get really cheap products)
3. Mastering step (or tertiary step, undergrad :)) : Use coupons on buy 1 get 1 free products + competitor stores coupons (free products or make some money)
4. Guru step (post grad, Phd) : combine all these : Use coupons on buy 1 get 1 free products + competitor stores coupons + rebates (free products + making lots of money out of the products, I just read a lady who made $6000 out of rebate last year, it is amazing ! )

My goal is to get free things that my family needs, and free things that we would never buy, but enjoy trying for free! This allows me to stay home with my kids and still be a contributing member of our “society.” My families society, that is!
I also get a THRILL out of shopping and finding an amazing deal! And I don’t have to spend $100 for a purse to do it! (not that I would!) What is even MORE fun, is getting a product for free using a sale and coupon and then submitting a rebate and earning money on it! Isn’t that crazy? Anyone can do it, but many can’t be bothered. Jamy, you are 100% right! Coupon use is a skill you must aquire through mentoring of seasoned coupon users (and there are many online to learn from for FREE), through practice, and through diligence. I think maybe I’d like to earn $6000 getting free stuff for my family too! Maybe next year, and only if its legit!

Coming for a foreign country , I think only in America, we have got so many free things. We take so many hings for granted this country, I think people from oversea would not even believe one can get things from shops for free let alone making money out of it. So, I feel very blessed to be a citizen of this country.
Of course I enjoy free things, I think it has became an obsession of mine :). We do not know what this hobby of us will lead to but I think we all benefit to a whole lot.
