Nice to get free things from store !
Remember the free 16 Glad spray I got and many Colgate tooth pastes that I got ? Well, they translated to $80 for me at my neighbor’s yard sales. No, I did not attend the yard sales, I gave her my products, she sold them for me. The $80 will be put back into this month budget. Kind of nice to be able to get all the free stuffs from coupon and resale them , LOL
These are all free stuffs I got from Walgreen today [it is nice to be able to walk into the store @ Saturday evening and pick up the stuffs for free
].
Note : ESB (Walgreen’s Easy Saver Booklet)
RR = Register reward (like cash that you can use the next purchase)
AGW = All Good and well booklet that can be found in Publix
1. Sambucal
I have no clue of what it is but apparently it is cold/flu medicine ( I gotten so many free over the counter meds that I think I can open a neighorhood pharmacy store. It is $11.99 and I have a ESB coupon of f$10 and an internet $4 coupon from the web site, so make $2 of the deal
2. Pop Corn Shrimp was 50cents a pack and there is a 60cents coupon in AGW so made 40cents out of the shrimp. Nice, free food
.
3. Dove products
Dove soap was $1.39 each and I got 7 of them (couponers must have grabbed all except 7
) and deodorant was $2.99 , both with 25% discount and this month if you buy 8 Dove product, you get back $10 register reward, so I made 46cents
4. House scent products
Glad’s warmer was $1.29 and the Ranzuit spray was $1.99 ( I have $1 coupon from newspaper insert), so pay $2.28
5. Crest tooth paste was 95cents and I have a $1 coupon, so made 5cents
Total made – 63cents
Nice !

Jamy,
I am dissapointed in the Walgreens on Archer Road. I went tonight after work with all my coupons from the ESB plus all of my manufactures coupons and they refused to let me use both. The manager told me that Walgreens was putting a stop to people making money off coupons. He went on to say that the coupons from the ESB were manufactures coupons and that you could not use any other manufactures coupons in conjunction with them. He was not very nice!
Theresa,
I am sorry for your bad experience to Walgreen store. Every Walgreen store seems to operate differently. Find one that is friendly to couponers is my suggestion.
Cheers up Theresa, we are still saving money with coupons. I email you a list of Walgreens stores that are friendly to couponers.
Jamy
My mother in law has issues with Walgreens too… You know they get their money back with those coupons you would think they would calm themselves down and not get offended of us trying to be frugal with our money… We work hard to save money, I cant stand people who get all that attitude about it.
Teresa, this is not a correct policy. You can call corporate and ask them. Unless they changed the policy, it is a WRITTEN policy that their stores accept BOTH a manufacturers coupon AND a walgreens coupon. As long as one is a store coupon and one is a man. coupon, you should be fine. I use both ALL THE TIME at the Archer Rd. walgreens. I have trouble with one or two cashiers sometimes, but mostly not. I suggest you don’t give up! You may have just gotten an uneducated person (on coupon rules/policy) that isn’t sure how it works. Cashiers and even managers often use that phrase.. “cracking down” I have heard it for years. Anyway, I hope it goes better next time.
Tracey,
Thank you for explaining. Theresa, if you do read this comment tread. Tracey is my coupon buddy, she has been doing this coupon thing for year. Check out her blog on her bargain.
