Wohoo, free stuffs @ publix
I made 33cents out of each of the shampoo and I used the proceed to buy the 4 loaves of bread. So all in all including tax, I paid $1.21 for all these.
In fact I was not aware of this deal. I felt very sad that I did not do the deal @ Walgreens on Granier shampoo as they were having $2.99 and there was a $2 coupon on Easy Saver booklet and also a $1 coupon from newspaper insert. But, my guest writer of this web site, Sharon shared with me that there’s going to be a sweeter deal in Publix the next week. She told me they were selling 3 for $8 and so it’s going to be a money making deal.
9 shampoo = $24
Coupons used = 9x$2 + 9×1 = $27
So I used the profit $3 to purchase the bread
Bread was 2 for $4, 4 bread was $8
There is a Publix coupon of 55cents and $1/2 manufacturers coupons
So I used 4 x 55cents publix coupon and 2 $1 manufacturer coupons = $4.20
$8 – $4.2 – $3 = 80cents.
I paid 41cents for tax on the shampoo, so total come out to be $1.21
In fact, today when I went to Publix, Granier shampoo is $3.49 and bread is $2.99 for honey wheat and $3.49 for whole wheat.
So without sales, I would have paid $31.49 + 2.99×2 + 3.49×2 = $44.37
Total saved = 98%
Granier shampoo is hot item for yard sales. People are more than willing to part $1.50 for it.
