I have nearly missed the pet food deal if my coupon buddy has not alert me. Most of the times I could not care to buy things that I do not use but if you think about it, why not ? If you make money from the goods/products you do not use/need, you can always give it to someone and use the profit you made from the deal to buy things you need. For eg. in this case, I earned $3 out of the cat food. I used that $3 to purchase the 2 BBQ sauces and the 2 packs of salad ($1.69+1=$2.69 and still left with 31cents towards the Predue chicken). See in fact, with the insight of my buddy, I got 2 bottles of sauces and 2 pack of salad for free. Now I have to change my shopping mindest, look out for overage !
Well, this change of mindset is all due to this statement from my coupon buddy, I thought how dumb can I be : “Since you don’t have cat, will you buy me some cat food? It is $4.49 for TWO bags, so use 2 coupons and get some overage and you can give me the cat food for being such a great coupon buddy who find overage for things you want, like meat!
What you say? OR, you can donate to another friend who NEEDS the food, I am going to get some free myself, and I have some coupons too, so really, don’t worry about me, just wanted to alert you to good overage and maybe some pet shelter/friend donation food for cats!!! Go here”
So, a lesson learned from a more experienced couponer ! [ Think outside the box ]
If I have think outside of the box and printed 50 of these coupons, I would have subsided my Predue chicken purchase , LOL.
50 Pet food = 25x$4.49= $112.25
50 x $3 coupons = $150
Net profit = $37.75
Use that to buy a month worth of meat or seafood.
Along that mindset, I looked out for the Accu-check Glucose Monitor at CVS yesterday knowing that it is $9.99 and there is a $9.99 ECB and low and behold I found one
. And surprising there is a friend who need that monitor. So, you never know, your trash can be someone treasure !
