Of course you can twit the scenario around the meat, veg and the fruits . This is just a simple scenario which you save as much as 80% !
The general rule of thumb if you want to follow this proven strategy :
1. Buy a little more than $25 ($25.1 to $26, not a lot over cos it would not be economical)
2. Find competitors coupons that total up to around $10 to $15 (that help you to pay towards your meat becausee generally fresh meat coupons is hard to come by and competitors coupons come in handy)
3. Find manufacturers coupons towards grocery items which has buy 1 get 1 free deals, items such as cereals, dry or frozen food coupons are easy to come by, you can get them from coupon clippers service or ebay. Get around $10 to $15 worth of goods with $10-$15 worth of coupons. So you get your dry food or frozen food free with manufacturer coupons. I got all my 20boxes of Teddy graham crackers for free this week because I have coupons towards this dry food.
4. Always make sure the number of coupons used do not exceed the number of goods you purchase
5. Always make sure the amount of coupons do not exceed the amount that you purchase
6. If you have more coupons than good purchase, get 1 or 2 cheap fillers such as banana or an onion.
And generally you can save about 80% if you use follow this rule of thumb consistently.
Let me hear your ideas on this strategy.

Several local Publix stores are not allowing the use of more than one $5 (or other amount) coupon. This appears to be a new rule.
Sorry, toclarify… that’s for the competitor coupons such as Walgreens, CVS, etc. when it says $5 off per $25, etc.
Angela,
I think a lot of stores never allow this practice, it is not a new rule : “Several local Publix stores are not allowing the use of more than one $5 (or other amount) coupon. This appears to be a new rule. :-(”
Today I had an interesting exp. I did a very careless calculation, my coupons amount exceeds my purchase amount. Cashier called the mgr. Mgr asked me to step aside and asked me to wait outside of her office. I am not sure if she went to make a phone call or she went inside to do a careful tally of my receipt.
After 10 mins, she came out and told me I could not use Rite Aid cos on Rite Aid coupon it stated no combination of other coupons.
She said she can either take Rite Aid or CVS but not both.
However, the strangest thing is that she takes all the Targets, Food Lion, Walgreens.
She then advise me to use Rite aids as it expires on 4/30 and CVS on 5/3.
But, you know I have learned a lesson from this event, in order not to cause the cashier wrath radar, always buy more than the coupons amount.
The cash register machine will not accept when your coupon amounts exceed the good purchase.
