Great week @ Publix this coming week
There are lots of great deals this week.
2 that caught my eyes are Shout stain remover and Starbucks ice cream.
1. Shout Laundry Stain Remover is BOGO @ $2.99, there is B1G1 coupon in Publix Smart Summertime Savings booklet
2. Starbucks Coffee Ice Cream is BOGO @ $3.59, there is a $2/1 Starbucks coupon from 06-21-09 SS
(Note : BOGO = Buy one get one free, SS is smart source coupon inserts in Sunday Newspaper)
This is how the Smart summer saving booklet look like :

I got 20 $2 coupons from ebay as I do not buy Sunday Newspaper.
You can buy the coupons from ebay too.
If your Publix take Target coupons, there is a $1 coupon for 1lb of banana and $1 coupon for 1lb of apples, you can print your coupon : HERE . That makes your fruits free this week.
This is the scenario I have crafted for you.

3. $5 strawberries
4. Vegetables of your choice = $3
3. 3 lbs banana (69cent each lbs) = $2.70

Jamy
This may seem like a dumb question but when you buys apples and bananas with these coupons do you split them into like 3 1lb bags or do you just put 3lb in a bag and use 3 coupons?
Kevin,
Split 3.
Oh, the one I have is the cup one.
Jamy
Oops I just noticed the Walgreens Q for MC expires today
Kevin,
Split 3.
Hmm… i wish they were the cups one.
Lisa, Thanks for the offer and yes, I will let you know and I will also take up your offer, we might get together one of these days and brain storm together, who knows we all can form small business together.
Kevin, thanks for answering the questions.
Amanda, I do not like Kmart, I went there once for their double coupons days, waste of times.
I am going to concentrate on just CVS/Walgreens/Publix
If anyone of you have time, research on Sweet bay and Hitchcock meat cos when they are on sale, they are real cheap and we can bring it over to Publix and with $5 off $25 of CVS coupons, we can get our meat real cheap. I am doing my happy dance if anyone of you would be my runner to check out the price. At one Saturday, I saw their boneless, skinless chick was 79cents/lb.

Does publix price match on meat or something?
How would we bring Hitchcock and sweetbay meat prices to Publix?
Yeah, I found the Toss for Cash books and picked up a few then had to go back for the Blinkies because I didn’t realize there were any.
Just to help you out…as of Tuesday, there were blinkies for the TGIF Skillet Meals at the Publix’s on Archer Road close to Target and Walmart.
I also found Blinkies for their “side dishes” like potato skins and Boston Market meals and Bagel Bites, all of which are also in that Toss for Cash book.
So, if you’re still looking for the accompanying MC’s, try those stores.
I live in Alachua, not far from the Hitchcocks and I get their weekly flyer. I have to say I normally get my meat from them because they have this special area, where you pick 5 packages of meat products for $19.99. The choices are always changing and I have learned that the weight of the packages are different, so of course I rummage through them and find the heaviest packages!
A special for this weekend is Split Chix Brst, Shank portion Ham, Whole frying chickens, and turkey wings or drumsticks for .98lb
They also have Small Pork Spare ribs for 1.48lb
I will either try to scan or take a pic and email the other portion and send to you Jamy.
Jamy,
I want you to know I sooo appreciate all of your help. I had started a few coupons, but did really start after I saw you in the paper.
I have several blogs I follow to find the goodies, but am so happy to have you guys local.
I will try to contribute when I can as well.
I had been sharing with my friends as well, had an old blog and started putting a few things on it so I didn’t have to keep emailing my family and friends on the free stuffs.
Definitely interested in the local stuff. I usually shop Hunter’s Crossing and Millhopper areas.
Hey I just came from Publix on Newberry square and on some of the General Mills cereals their is a Q for 1 publix reusable shopping bag when you buy 2 GM products. So you get bogo cereals with coupons from online and free shopping bags.
Just left the williston rd one- saved almost $78! only spent $12
This is such a huge help! And to us, to get the apples and bananas is great! I usually can’t afford to buy fresh fruit.
They have the toss for cash coupon books there.
And a side note is that they said they won’t honor the CVS coupon nxt time.
Does anyone have velveta coupons they could spare? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks! ~JB
Kevin,
Yes,they matched meat price.
In the past, I used to bring Albertson sales like buy 1 get 2 free and they would do it for me.
The one at Spring Hill’s is very good in that. Go to the meat section they will do it.
(man, I typed out a whole lot and suddenly the computer went dead on me, sigh).
But, I have not do that for a while now because the last few mths I had such good meat deals with Publix.
a. Morning star was 50% and it was like $2.50 per box and I have $1 MQ and $2 Target Q. End up making 50cents each pack
b. Starkist fish was BOGO for $5.99, I got 60 coupons ($3 per coupons) for $1.29 including shipping for each 20 coupons, so all in all I got all the 60packs fish for free except about $3.50 for the 60coupons.
c. Then the Kingsford pork deals, so I really do not have to resort for other store meat.
However, because of these 2 people I decided to post the Sweet Bay and Hitchcock meat deal here.
My realtor told me he discovered that Sweet Bay will slash their near expire meat to as much as 90%
One of my coworkers told me Hitchcock meat are really good for their price.
So I talked to Max (one of the customer service personnel) at Publix about Sweet Bay’s deal. He said he is not going to worry about Sweet Bay’s deals, I told him Max what happened if they slash their price to 90% and I send all my readers to SB. He said Jamy , please don’t. Max is really nice so if you have problem with any cashier or coupons, go look for him and say I send you .
Denise,
Thanks for dropping by and commented.
My 2cents about extreme coupons :
a. Focus
b. Bulk buy
c. Plan
d. Network
There are many blogs out there on the cyberspace that do coupons.
I used to be excited about one or two free stuffs, not anymore ! And I used to cut coupons from newspaper, not anymore.
When I first started, I read about Jane4girls, she is the first woman I read about extreme coupons, she said she does not buy newspaper for coupons, I was like what ? How she did it ? Now I knew.
There are many women out there who are chasing after blogs after blogs on coupons, I only stick to one or two.
hotcouponworld is one which I think is the best and I only stick to their Publix forum.
My gfs wrote to me about AllYou magazine and how her sister in law whom she introduce about my blog now started reading southernsavers and has since move on from my blog.
I am ok if people do not read my blog anymore butI told her don’t chase after coupons.
The most powerful thing about this extreme coupons is Be focus, stack coupons and stock pile.
This is what I do
I glance through a few sites on Publix deals than I will find coupons related to the deals. When I say coupons, I mean I buy at least 20 to 60 of them.
Once I have done these stock pile,I am done for a couple of months.
This is the way to do , efficient and very economical.
For eg the recent charcoal deals, you can practically have a freezer full of free pork
And this week you can practically have your free banana and apples.
I think my niche is create a scenario which I get all my things free or near free. And I like to include produce and meat if possible.
Jennifer,
Thanks for the headup of the TGIF tearpad, you know once Publix has their BOGO on TGIF, we all will be laughing to the bank
I have a lot of those $2 coupons from Toss4cash.
We can swap cos I only need about 20 of them.
If you can pick up some of these tearpads for me, we can swap on the $2 coupons from cash4toss.
Hi Jamy,
You can see the Hitchcocks flyer and print out the add by going to http://www.myhitchcocks.com. They usually have very good meat prices. Last week they had whole chickens for .49 cent per lb. I did not know Publix would honor someone elses sale price.
Ronda
Jamy,
What publix will honor someone elses sale prices?
Eve
