Sorry i hit something while typing and accidentally sent the post that only says Jamy. Anyway did you use 3 of the Supertarget $0.50 Q’s for the Bananas? At the Hail Plantation store they said I could only use one because the Q said 1 offer per transaction. I had even split the bananas into 3 1lb packs to make the coupons even. I am definitely going to shop at the exchange store from now on
Thanks Jsamy! I just came from publix tower rd, my total was 70 I paid 15!! YYYA, this was with meat, cold meat and cheese. Also, Tower rd will take all coupons, I used cvs and walgreens, 5 off.
Great deal Jamy! I have 4 extra TGIF $2/1 coupons from the blinkies at Publix if you want them…let me know and I’ll send them on to you. I have your address from the coupons you sent me.
what publix allowed you to get money back ??? i shop at jonesville most often but i never try and do deals where they have to pay me if i have overage like that i tend to use it up
but i am just curious as to what store was ok with this ??? thanks
Kevin,
Most of the times I only use 1 target coupon for fruits such as banana and apple. Where is the ‘exchange store’ ?
Amanda,
That is wonderful. They used to do that at Spring Hill . I have not use both for a long time cos I have a lot of $3 off $15 CVS a couple week ago and that allow me to buy quite a no. of things free. If I spend $1 or $2 for $15, I am ok with it.
I felt that if we do not let Publix earn some, that might not be good in the long term.
I am not get quick fast kind of person, I look at this extreme coupon as long term kind of things and so we need to be careful, balance of what we are doing.
I know it is good to save $ but we also have to look at long term.
Publix lost $ when we use competitor coupons, so when we use competitor coupons, please do it sparingly.
I think it is good of Publix to let us use 2 coupons in BOGO deals and we do not want them to change policy.
For the $x off $Y coupons, please do it sparingly.
For other competitor like Food Lion and Target, if the coupon stated 1 per transaction, please follow the rule.
I like all of you to save $ but I also want this extreme coupon to be a long term thing.
I hope you guys understand I am with you on this but I want this to last….
Lisa,
Let say it is near where I live , NW area.
This is the first time a supervisor actually told the cashier customer has the right to have cash back.
Actually I did not do my Math right cos I often use the overage to buy produce cos produce coupons are hard to come by.
However, I told the supervisor that I am going to use the $ they gave back to me for carrots.
And I did go back and get 3packs of baby carrots and end up paying $60cents.
She said I do not have to do it but I feel it is only right to do it.
I do not want Publix employees to think I cheat them cos they might not like it as if the store do not make $, they might not get bonus.
I feel like I am an embassador for this extreme coupon thing and I do not want them to have a bad impression about couponers.
I think one of the reasons why Millopper has been hard cracking down coupons is becasue there are a lot of couponers who use fraud coupons and use like so many of the $x off $Y or Targets coupons in one transaction.
Now they do not allow CVS, Walgreens and Target. I went there yesterday morning after I post a box of coupons to one of our military base for use in commissionary and guess what they only allow me to buy 1 buy 1 get 1 free Shout stain remover as she said it is 1 per transaction.
If all Publix store tighten their coupon policy, man, we all in bad shape.
So, event though I like to spread words on extreme coupons, but please do it with your heart conscience.
I would advice to use overage on buying produce.
I think it would be good to pay $1-$2 on $30 to $40 goods, don’t you think so ?
I agree with you. The Publix near me have told me that I can’t use drugstore or supercenter q’s only other grocery store q’s. We have a Publix next door to Albertsoc and they told me I couldn’t use their q’s that said Augus because they don’t sell Angus,( this store used to be my favorite).
I tried using my internet printed coupons at Walmart yesterday and they would NOT take them. Anyone else had this experience?
Yesterday a lady in Alachua had a very large water oak fall on her house. They need donations of food and clothing. If anyone would like to donate some of their free food items that you got from Publix please let me know, I am taking donations to the family. Thanks!!!!

i also EXTREME coupon @ area publix stores — on average i save 75-99% on each order there — each store is different is what i have learned — and it truly is managers descretion — the managers have admitted to me they are given little instruction on how to handle coupons — i always use my overage then and there tho — i just wouldnt feel right taking money from them but that is me personally
Lisa,
I used to argue with customer service or cashier when they do not allow me to use 1 or 2 of the coupons on my hand.
However, after doing this for more than 18mths now and saved so much $ from extreme couponing ,nowaday, if they forget to scan or refuse one or two coupons, I let go and could not bother to argue with them.
Yes, it is true about the manager descretion as in the past, I used to use Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens stacking and they never say anything, now they change their rule but sometimes, they will accept. Even same store, different cashier will tell u different thing.
The exchange store is the store at 13th and 39th. I agree if Publix feels they are loosing money they will no longer allow competitors coupons so we need to be careful after all they are in business to make money not give food away.
Kevin,
Yes, I looked up on Pulix web, and realized that is the name for the 13/39 which I have been using lately.
I think the best scenario for this extreme couponing thing is that a win win situation, ie we saved $ and Publix also earn $.
I think the best of kind of deal is be able to find competitors coupons that give us overage and we use that overage to buy stuffs that do not have coupon and we earn up getting free or near stuffs from Publix and Publix is being reimbursed by the manufacturer.
Though it is hard to come by with deals like that but it is not impossible.
Over the years that I have used this extreme couponing system, these are some of such deals I can remember :
Recent star bucks , Kingsford charcoal and the pork, and Starkist fish etc…
There are a lot of web sites , columns people discuss about deals like that, sometimes they do not apply to our area so if we ourselves can form such a network community in our own area. I think it would be great.
What do you guys think ?
I personally think like bulk buy when there is deal. And from my experience with the church people whom I have taught them about this extreme coupon, we have come to a conclusion that we do not even bother to buy Sunday paper but instead resort to buying bulks coupons from either ebay or coupons clipping sites. And we share cost towards the purchase.
Though we have not yet come up with a system like
Joe buy on wk 1, Ann by on wk 2 etc.
But over the span of these months that I taught them about this extreme coupon system, we have often buy bulk like 20 to 40 coupons on deals which we think are worth while to stock pile and we would give 8 to 10 to others and then others do likewise to me. And it works very well, it benefits us all and we as a group in the little small church have saved plenty of $ over the months since I taught them this system.
So, I was just putting this on the thinking table about doing this as a group here.
What are your thoughts on this ?
Count me in! Clipping not my favorite activity nor is the cost of the darned Sun paper. I’d really like to streamline this extreme couponing thing just a little bit more (easier now that I have stockpiles, LOL, but they WILL eventually run out so I need to keep up).
