Saved 99% – 72cents vs $74.52

Julie did this deal this morning

2 bags charcoal 7.99 ea
$12.40 pork (3 packs closest to $12 I could get)
2 BBQ sauce 1.95 ea
2 cans of corn BOGO (needed items to cover # of coupons and needed veggies)
Total after coupons = $2.67

She did this @ Millhopper Publix.
She asked me if she could do the deal like this and she is having an insomia this morning thinking of her coupon deals. She work night shift and she is suppose to go to sleep :)

“BUT, now I am wondering if I can get 4 of the “deals” at once…
That way:
4 coal 7.99 ea = 31.96
4 x $6 pork = 24
4 x BBQ 1.95
8 x Kraft dressing BOGO 2.69 = 10.76
Total b/f coupons $74.52

Coupons to use:
4x $6 pork = 24
$5 off $20 FL meat
$5 off $25 CVS
4x $3 off charcoal (FL) = 12
4 x $2 off charcoal (MQ) = 8
4 x Free BBQ sauce =7.80
8 x $1.50 dressing = 12
Total coupon used = $73.80

Total Paid out of pocket = $0.72 !!!
Total saved 99%

That would use 26 coupons and only have 20 items unless you could split the meat up to get more items. I’m so excited and want to go back to work to print out more coupons!!! You’ve created a monster out of me ;-)

If you need to print the coupons related to this cheap pork deal, go HERE.

Julie send me a link to the latest Food Lion coupon here.

Should I named my coupon club as coupon monster club ?

I am SO happy that this deal came back around. This is the deal that sold my husband on my extreme couponing! I can’t wait to go to Publix today to see how much I save! I think you should name your club “the coupon nuts” :)

Pam is on sale? I may have some of those Publix store cpns and we all know they NEVER expire…

The FL charcoal cpn is a mfg cpn – if you look there are two barcodes and the standard blip about how retailers will be reimbursed…

    Laura,
I do not get it, can you elaborate ?

The Food Lion coupon states ‘STORE COUPON’ at the top as always – however it IS a manufacturer coupon – there is a mfg barcode in the middle, and to the right of that is the retailer reimbursement information. If your cashier tries to scan it, it will scan and then the other mfg cpn will beep (or vice versa).

    Jamy and Angela
I wanted to post thi searlier, but my PC was having problems. I did the “4 deal” that Angela was questioning if it could be done. I wante dto add that when I was at the Williston Publix the charcoal had an extra 1.00 coupons on the bottom of the bags and a coupon on the each bag for free package of Hebrew National Hotdogs. (4.99 a package) So inaddition to the pork deal Angela listed above, I came home with four packages of Hebrew National Hotdogs. Thanks Angela and Jamy. I spent $11.92 for 4-bags charcoal, 2 bags lays chips BOGO and I had a $1.00 target coupon, 2-Honey nut cheerios, 4-Hebrew National Hotdogs(free with charcoal), banana 2lbs, 4-packages pork,4-bottles free of KC masterpiece bbq sauce, 8-bottles of Kraft salad dressing. My best week ever!

    meghan,

    You are most welcome.

    Who is Angela ?
Is that one of my readers ?
Is the Angela the Angela who has a facebook on saving tips ? If so, I knew her because she started the facebook after I met her to give her Cornerstone used book and I told her to check my web site cos she was using grocery game paid service.

Most of the scenarios I posted , I have done done before I posted. If I have not done, I will write something like this ” I heard that but I have not done it myself.”

A lot of bloggers will post somethings they read or heard but I like to do it differently. I like to do it before I post it on my web. I feel more honest to my readers and more real :)

I have a lot of my coworkers who do all the posts I have posted. And they have to be real scenarios otherwise I will be ‘knocked’ on my head :) :)
