    Jamie,
How did you get so many coupons for the TGIF snacks and where did you get the overage to get the fruit and eatsmart veggies.
    Thanks,
    Tracey

I went to Ameilia island one of the weekend and there are tons and tons of booklet there. I suppose people in Ameilia island don’t use coupons ? :)

Did you use the overage from the Revlon stuff? Also, did you use any $ off $$ from competitors? What a GREAT deal you made on all of that!!!

    #4580
  4. Jamy

Yes, Nicole, I used the overage for the fresh vegetables and the fresh fruits (I got 3lbs of plums and nectarine.

Yes, it is a great deal. There are more to come as I see a lot of more great deals :)

    Stay tunned :)

Great job Jamy! I got 8 boxes of TGIF snacks, 8 boxes mac n cheese, 5- $1 gatorades, a bag of doritos chips, kid’s colgate toothpaste, a bottle of child’s tylenol ($6), and a $7 thermometer for a total of $13 and change. I know it’s a lot more than your 54 cents but my son is sick and I needed to buy another thermometer and more tylenol anyways so basically my food was free after buying the 2 things I absolutely HAD to have :) I am proud of myself. lol

Hi Jamy, where did you get the CVS $5 off $25 coupon? I go there all the time and scan my card and I get one of those coupons maybe once every 2-3 months..is that where you are getting yours or are you using a printable one? Thanks, I need some good competitor coupons right now. Tracey

Jamy, I do not see what coupons you used for this shop, am I missing it? I know you used the football publix flyer coupons, but how can you tell which snacks are “value” sized? I thought that was the BIG size, is that wrong? HELP! Only one more shopping day tomorrow! :)

    #4589
  8. Jamy

The $3.59 is the value size. I have been stocking pilling these TGIF snacks up. I got tons of coupons from Amiela’s Island Publix. The only problem I have is that my freezer is not big enough.

Last week, I have already stock up my freezer with cheap pork. This week is TGIF snacks and next week is smart one’s deserts :) . I might consider buying a bigger freezer :)

    JJ loves the popcorn chicken.

    Hi

    Jamy
I have a question If I have a Manufacturer coupon for TGIF value size frozen snack for $2/1 and I have store coupon for TGIF value size snack for $2/1 can I use both coupon and that mean free item?

    Mayra

    #4593
  11. Nicole

Wow! I had no idea that you could use the value size coupons for the TGIF snack sizes! I’ve been using the $2 off 2 TGIF snacks from the Toss 4 Cash flyer. So that’s how you got so much overage! I definitely missed out!

    #4594
  12. Mayra

    Jamy

Im confuse, you use the coupon TGI for value sizes for small sizes? How you can made that?

    #4595
  13. JB

Mayra, yes you can use both those coupons and get the item free plus make $. Off the 2 bogo TGIF snacks you use 2- $2/1 store coupons and 2- $2/1 manufacturer coupons and make $4.41.

I was using the $2/2 at first also, but then I tried it the other way and it worked :) When I got to thinking about it McDonald’s “Value” Menu is the $1 menu so why wouldn’t the “value” size snacks be the cheaper ones?

Jamy, if you have extra MQs for TGIF snacks I would love to have some more, I only got a few from the blinkie when they had it. I am back to work tonight, maybe I’ll see you there :)

In wich publix do you use the coupons, because when y went to Springhill, they doesnt accept, there said me ” this is for the big size”

    #4598
  15. Nicole

Actually, the Value size TGIF snacks are the large boxes and they are around 7.99, but if it worked with the MQs and the Publix Qs then I guess I really missed out! I was trying to figure out how Jamy got so much overage from just the Revlon tools which would have only been about 29 cents per item, but I guess she got the overage from the TGIF snacks which were only 3.59. I wish someone would have told me!!

    #4599
  16. Mayra

I try to do it, but I forgot my calculator at home, and to misjudge the coupons, then had a lot of money overage, and the cashier called the manager and the manager told me that the coupon was not for that product was for the big one. I felt a little bad, I felt like I was or tried to steal something

    #4600
  17. Jamy

I am so sorry for all the confusion.

I use the $2 TGIF from T4Cash booklet. It is the buy 1 get 1 free @$3.59.

I bought 12 from 13th street Publix, the cashier was not sure if that is the size, I asked her to go ask manager, manager approved it.

Today I bought another 10 from 13th Street publix. Then I went over to Spring Hill, wanted to buy 40 of them. I think I am stupid to buy so many cos I think the “Number” freak them out. Cashier asked customer representative, 1st she said ok, then she said not ok, then she said ok, then she said not Ok. So I went off , I am quite upset because I felt that if Publix is to issue a coupon booklet with a coupon than they are to honor their own coupons.

The buy 1 get 1 free is value size or not , there is not distinctive answer ! So, legally Publix cannot tell us the coupon in T4Cash cannot be used towards the BOGO deal.

I am going to write a letter to Publix cooperate to ask them for a definite answer on how they define “Value size”

After 13th street , I went to Spring Hill because 13h street run out of the flavor my son loves. After they denied me, I drove to Hunter crossing.

I have not been to Hunter crossing for over 500years now after the incident they refuse to take Target.

Like I said Publix has the most inconsistent coupon policy. I wish the cooperate give a mandatory training on coupon policy.

Since I have very negative experience with Hunter crossing, so before I go pick up the stuff, I asked one of the cashier who stood there and asked if the $2 coupons can be used towards the buy 1 get 1 free @ $3.59 deal.

She said she does not see why not, she said I can use the $2 coupon on big packet, small packet, she thinks they are all TGIF coupons.

I was like wow. Then I said “Dear, are you very sure, I do not want you to get into trouble.” She said ” Trust me, I have worked here for 11 yrs, if you do not trust me, go to my register counter, I will do it for you.” I said ” Ok, 1 last questions, do you take CVS coupon’ She said ” Yes, we take CVS, we take Target, we take food lion, we take Hitchcock, we even take Kmart”. I said ” Wow, I never knew that.” She said “It is strange , isn’t it ? ”

Well, recently, I receive a letter from my friend about St.Augustine Publix.

I took off my friend name :

    “Dear xx,

Just thought I would let you and xx know about the new coupon policy at Publix at the Beach. As of last week, the Manager has sent a memo to all cashiers, to ACCEPT ALL COUPONS, from manufacturers, competitiors, and from Publix, even if the coupons have expired (up to 1 year after expiration). So, on Saturday, when I did our grocery shopping, I turned in a $3.00 off total bill coupon from Walgreens ( it expired 2 weeks ago) and they accepted it.

Tonight, I rang up coupons from Food Lion, Winn-Dixie, and even coupons from internet free coupon sites. Publix will take them all. In fact, one lady bought 2 jars of nuts, with a purchase price of about $6.00, and she used $12.00 worth of Food Lion coupons on those nuts to reduce her overall grocery bill (I think that is bad manners since she got double the value of the nuts — but the coupons were accepted).

Anyway, Publix is not advertising it, but they are happily taking coupons from every competitior, in an attempt to boost their customer base. So, you can save LOTS OF MONEY by cutting out coupons from all the flyers in the newspaper AND downloading coupons from the internet. In fact, tonight one lady saved $69.00 on her total gorcery bill of $130.00 by using a variety of coupons from different stores and from the internet (some were expired up to 3 months ago).

The Beach Publix Store manager has decided that he wants to be competitive with Wal-Mart and other discount stores, so he has opened the floodgates for every kind of coupon imaginable.

Based on his memo, I am going to start cutting coupons from all the circulars in the newspaper and from downloading from iternet sites.

You and xx may want to do the same thing”

Is that region wise, I do not know.

  18. Jamy

    Nicole,

    I made $4-$3.59=41cents per 2 box
And I bought the nail clipper for $1.47 (they are all gone now) and the nail filer for $1.78

So I made ~ $1.50 each ($2 coupon from Yellow advantage and $1 Manufacturer coupon which I bought from ebay).

I do not buy newspaper and clip coupon anymore. Seriously, who has the time to clip coupons ? Buy bulk from ebays, I got 20 of the $1 Revlon coupons for $1 and that included shipping. Imagine clipping 20 of the Relvon coupons and the cost of buying 20 copies of the newspapers.

Anyway, those of you who live in Gainesville, if you want to buy coupons, please buy them from my coupon buddy Tracey C ebay site.

Tracey , if you happen to read the comment again today, please send the link of your ebay store here, so my readers can buy coupons from you.

I do not earn commission from Tracey. Tracey is a good friend of mine, she helped me a lot through my coupon journey.

Extreme couponing is like other things in life, if you miss this deal, don’t sweat over it, there will be deals after deals. Move on.

Next week, the Weightwatcher deserts meal is also a wonderful deal.

I will post the deal tonight if I still have energy left behind :)

    #4603
  20. Nicole

    Jamy,
Thanks for posting that last post! There are always more deals on the horizon. I was so confused about the TGIFs, but I’m really not sweating it because I have no more room in my freezer for more anyway!!! I need to eat a lot this week because I saw that Weightwatchers deal too and I plan on getting a bunch! Maybe they will help me lose the weight I will put on by eating all the TGIF snacks!

    Thanks Lisa C.

I just discovered yesterday that Hunter Crossing Publix is in fact very coupon friendly. They must have changed their management.

They accept CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, Foodlion, Win Dixie, Hitchcock etc.

I was very surprised, I have not stepped in Hunter Crossing Publix for nearly 14months now even though I live very near, the closest Publix to me. It is ashame that I will to drive across town to go to a coupon friendlier Publix.

I talked to the manager, he told me if I have any problem, talk to him. So now I have 2 Publix that are friendly to us.

Go around and go look for as many rain checks as you can. I can spare you quite a fair bit. The coupons are good till end of the month. By then might be they have more goods and our freezer might be a bit low on food LOL :)

I can meet you at one of the Publix and pass you the coupons.

    Deals ?

BTW, this week, Tyson chicken is free.

Goodness me, with extreme couponing, we are never worry about no food in the house :)

    Mayra,
I think if you buy 6 Smart Ones desserts, you can use both the store coupon and the manufacturer coupon, but the free Smart Ones ice cream treat coupon would also be a manufacturer coupon, so they may not let you use that one–although, some cashiers may let you. If you actually pay for 3 and get 6(because of BOGO) you will spend $6 minus $4 from coupons= $2 for 6 desserts which comes to 33 cents for each. That’s how I saw the deal…

Jamy, I’ve e-mailed you a couple times at your g-mail account, but I haven’t heard back–that’s the one you use, correct?

    #4624

  30. Jamy

    Nicole,
U want some of the TGIF coupons ? I can send them to you. Go get some rain checks.

    #4626
  31. Nicole

I live in Ocala…I can send you the e-mails again if you want. My full name is Nicole Cope. I was just wondering if Publix accepts the CVS coupons that are e-mailed to Extra Care Card customers–I got one yesterday that said “$5 off $20 when you use your Extra Care Card”. I wasn’t sure if Publix would accept this because it says “when you use your Extra Care card” on the coupon…have you used these before at Publix?
The other e-mails were about my great shopping trips at Publix, one had pictures. By the way, I spent 92 cents today on 6 TGIF snacks, 4 Glade candles and 3 Duncan Heinz brownie mixes(fillers). I found a REALLY coupon friendly cashier and was able to use the Value size TGIF coupons today for overage!!

    #4627
  32. Nicole

Ha! I sent some to you originally! I will go get some rainchecks tonight, but I am out of the blinkies. I have enough Toss 4 Cash, I think, but not the blinkies.

    Mayra,
Stop saying sorry. You did not do anything wrong, if you do not stop saying sorry, I will be mad :) :)

    Nicole,
Thank you for taking time to explain to Mayra.
You need to go get rain check asap cos today is last days. I have a lot to spare, when I say a lot, it means a loooooooooooooooooooooooooot :)

Send me some rain checks :) , I am getting people to get as many rain check as possible cos by the end of the month, we might run out of BBQ chicken wing, ha ha ha ha.

    #4632
  37. Jamy

Yes, Nicole, as long as they accept competitor coupon, extra care card or not, does not matter, main thing is do they accept CVS coupons ?

    #4633
  38. Lisa Cannon

All I have left are the value size coupons ( both blinkie and T4C) hopefully they will accept these for the BOGO’s.
I will be able to get by 3 maybe 4 Publix to see about rainchecks. If someone else could do a couple of rainchecks too that would help out a lot. I will probably go by Millhopper, Hunters Crossing, 13th & 39th, and SpringHill (39th & I75).

    #4634
  39. Jamy

    Thanks Lisa C.
Nicole, JB, Mayra, and even Kevin, if you happen to read this, please help me to get rain checks.
Lisa, don’t worry too much, do whatever you can. Tomorrow onwards, Tyson chicken is free, where are we going to store ? :)

  40. Lisa Cannon

Hey, I still have plenty of room in my freezer, Thankfully when we had the money we got one of the biggest chest freezers we could. :)

    #4637
  41. Jamy

    Lisa,

Don’t hoard too much cos this is not the extreme couponing mentality.
I have a gf who taught her sister in law to do extreme couponing. Now her sister in law asked her husband to build her a storage space to store all the coupons stuffs that she got for free or near free. I think that is the most stupid thing one should do, that is what I call hoarding.

We must always think outside of box.

There will be another deals next week and we will get more free things next week.

Sell the things that you got from last week and used that $ for investment. If at the moment, you do not have the $ for investment, pay off your debts or other necessity things in life. Do not hoard, it is not economical and stupid !

In any business, cash flow is king so we must treat this extreme coupoining like our business, cash flow is our king :) :)

    #4638
  42. Nicole

Jamy, I was able to get a raincheck for only 4 deals(8 boxes) of the TGIF. Also, the store I went to had almost every single flavor IN STOCK! So, I had to specify what flavors I wanted to get for the raincheck–they were only out of the Turkey Quesadilla–and I took a chance (I kinda had to lie a little bit, which I hate to do) and said “Popcorn Chicken” which the girl wrote down. Now, there are a couple of different flavors of Popcorn chicken so when I go back I can get what I want, but they had all the flavors of it in stock(whick made me feel weird about telling them that!)
Anyway, I may try to get out to another store tonight which I know had less flavors yesterday, but with two young kids I don’t know if I’ll be able to tonight.

    Jamy,
Finally I bought yesterday TGIF,I made two transactions, buy 16 boxes and two bags of brocoli and only paid .3 cents, because in the first transaction de bagger paid the cents for me. My freezer is almost full.

    #4644
  46. Nicole

I did get out again and got a raincheck for the TGIF snacks, any flavor!! Yay!! I got it for 10 deals, so 20 boxes. Now, if I could only find those Glade soy candles that are FREE!! I got 7 today, but both other Publix I’ve gone to are out.

    #4646
  47. Lisa Cannon

No not hoarding, actually I have been giving some away to some neighbors that are having financial problems too.
I got three rainchecks for 5 deals each (10 boxes) and two rainchecks for 4 deals(8 boxes each) total of 23 deals for 46 boxes. Also I did find where I had printed a bunch of the $5/25 CVS coupons, have about 20 or so, before it stopped.
My best transaction tonight was .20 for $50 worth of groceries!
Jamy email me and I can get with you for some of the rainchecks and coupons.
Keep up the GREAT work!!! You’re the best !!

  48. Jamy

    Lisa,
It is readers like you, Nicole and Mayra that make me very excited to do these :) , very active participants :)

I love this : “My best transaction tonight was .20 for $50 worth of groceries!”

I love it when someone I teach do better than me, then they can teach me , ha ha ha ha.

Ok now Lisa and Nicole, the next project is to get 1year supply free of laundry detergent, toilet paper :)

I saw the glad candle is $3.49, is that the free candle people are talking ? I saw the soy candle (small one is $2.49).

I have 100 of those $3 coupons for the fragrance collection by glade. Now I need my follower to reach me how to use this coupons cos I am fixing to retire, someone please teach me, ha ha ha ha.
