What is your best deal this week ?

By Jamy

Mine has to be Purina cat food, Dannon Activa yoghurt, and the Jeoffry coffee. (When I went there, there were only 2 bags left :)) and the post cereal. [ I also get my Tyson chicken with rain check)

Cat food 2 for $10
Dannon Activa yoghurt $2.50
Cereal $4
Coffee $10
Chicken = $6.50
—————–
Total = $33

Coupon used :
Cat food coupon = 2 x $2 Target + 2 X$2 One stop one shop = $8
Yoghurt 2 $1 = $2
Coffee 2 x $2 = $4
Cereal 2 x $2 = $4
$5 off $25 Family dollar = $5
Tyson = 2 x $2 Foodlion + 2 x $1 = $6
————————————–
Total = $29

Spend $4

Sold cat food 2 for $2 each and gotten $4. Free food for the family. Saved 100%.

Love the coffee, have always been a very cheapsacpe person, ever since I started extreme coupon, I have been enjoying branded goods :). Now the office coffee taste like mud water to me (as if I have tasted it :). I have quite a few bags of 8 o’clock coffee. Prior to EC, I have no clue how good coffee taste like, too cheap to go to star bucks :)

How about we go around and share what is your best deal this past week :9/14 to 9/30

(JB, Laura C, Lisa C, can you gals share some of your deals this week ? :))

    JB,
    It looks like you bought 20 packs of yogurt…that’s 80 cups of yogurt…what are you going to do with 80 cups of yogurt?

    #4879
  7. Rachel

    I was just wondering the same thing - I force myself to NOT buy perishables (like yogurt) in bulk because I feel like even $0.25 for a four-pack is a bad deal if it ends up moldy! I wish I could have gotten the Tyson chicken deal, but there is just too much fat in those to bring in my house right now (back on weight watchers). Very impressed with some of these receipts so far!

    the yogurt can be frozen. kids will eat it frozen like it’s ice cream.

    You can freeze yogurt. Nice for snacks for kid to bring to school.
    Lisa, I was just about to write a reply and you beat me :)

    Interesting…I’ve never frozen yogurt. So when it defrosts it is not too liquidy? Maybe I’ll try it next time there is a great sale.

  11. JB

    I gave half of it to my mom. And there are 5 of us who will eat some. Plus snacks for either kids’ classes or soccer teams… when it’s practically free there’s always someone who can use it!

  21. Brenda

    Hi,
    I am new to this website as well as to extreme couponing. Tuesday was my first venture in extreme couponing. From everyones posts, I can see I have a lot to learn. However, being my first time, I left Publix pretty excited. I had two orders so I could use my 2 $5/$25 Q. In all, my orders came up to about $180, but I spent only $68. I was so nervous as I went through the check out. I am looking forward to learning how to save even more. I am thankful to have found your website. Thanks for all your information.

    #5020
  22. JB

    Brenda.
    Good job! It’s so exciting when you get to save big at the register. Even my kids watch as they deduct my coupons and the more I save the more excited (and loud) they get. :) I have only been couponing for 2 months and still get a little nervous checking out (not as much as when I first started). I think once your “coupon confidence” builds you get to feel better about it. Best wishes.

    Hi Brenda,
    I get excited every week coming up with free deal and near free deal , I get more excited when I read my readers who are getting better each week in their extreme couponing skill.

    I am not sure if you have read our earlier posts but we intend to write a book on how we saved $ on our grocery.

    I get all excited when I read readers who post in deals that I do not know and also the amount of savings that they do each week.

    I am close to getting up a frugal club meeting in the near future, so check this site up now and then.

  24. Brenda

    Jamy,
    Yes, I did read the post about writing a book. I think you said you wanted 10 people. Do you already have your ten?

    JB, thanks for your encouraging words.

    I think I saw a post on here of someone that lives here in Ocala. I am curious to know which Publix they shop at, and if they allow competitor coupon stacking especially of the $5/$25Qs.

    Thanks, Brenda

    #5028
  25. Nicole

    Brenda, I live in Ocala. I mainly shop at the 40 East Publix and sometimes at Churchill Square and Paddock. All 3 have taken the CVS coupons. I have never had a problem. They all have also taken the 5/50 from Kmart. A friend of mine did have a problem the other day trying to use the CVS and Kmart coupons at the same time–the cashier said she would have had to spend $75 dollars to use both. Personally, I have never had this problem, I sometimes use both coupons together on transactions totaling around $50. Probably she just got a picky cashier.

    My daughter love that, because I change the ingredients, I called that semi-homemade..I use white chicken and parsley, and chicken cube, or sometimes use chicken broth..always use my imagination..

    I like the thai noodle one as a side dish - or just by itself - you can add vegetables (brocolli is good, peppers, onions, etc..) It has a nice flavor. Leftover pork would go well in here too LOL.
