In the Albertson’s ad there is also a coupon for Buy 1 Fresh Express salad, get two of the same identical for free. Fresh Express is also BOGO this week at Publix. So if you buy 4 bags, and use the Albertson’s q, would that give you 4 free bags? (2 free from BOGO sale, 2 free from Albie’s q)? Or do I just buy 3 and pay for 1?

Wanted to let yall know that the store has a new Eat better america coupon book. 1 of the coupons is $1 off 2 betty Crocker Potatoes. They are BOGO this week so you can get 2 boxes for .75cents!! (and Betty Crocker is a GM product so you can get a free bag)
BTW Hambuger Helper is made by Betty Crocker which is a GM company. I bought 18 boxes of HH last week so I am going back in today before the coupon expires and get 9 free Publix bags!!! (3 on each reciept)

We need a freezer for yard sales LOL. Seriously, I know some of my best deals have been frozen things (Kashi entrees that were free, fish that was free, pirogies that were .30/box, all those steamer vegetables that were moneymakers)etc…

This week, it looks like pork, charcoal and wet wipes (WetOnes and the other ones that you get a Publix brand wyb theirs – clorox maybe? I can’t remember off hand.
Another good filler is jalapeno peppers – about a nickel or so each. At SC I have often had them just call the mgr to override that more coupons than items thing. YMMV, of course.

I thought it was not going to be a good savings week for me since the Publix stores in Ocala do not honor Albertsons or Food Lion, but I’ve managed to get some good deals. Colgate toothpaste at 1.99 with a 1.00 coupon…especially the sensitive toothpaste is a good deal because that type is usually not included in sales. Yogurt is a good buy but I’m getting tired of yogurt. Publix honored the Walgreens Kleenex BOGO coupon using their sale price…2 boxes for 1.50, bought 4 boxes & used one 55 cent coupon.

I have done the pork deal probably about six times now. I have split up the meat,paper plates and wet ones with a friend who is in need and also gave them all the charcoal. I still have plenty of charcoal from last time.
My freezer was full, but I have given almost half away to our friend. He has two kids and they had been eating ramen noodles for two weeks straight. I get such a rush off of doing the coupons but being able to give food to a needy family is the absolute best. He wanted to help pay, so we bartered with him. He is working on fixing the a/c in our truck.
PLEASE, don’t be greedy, if you have a friend or neighbor who needs help, give them a little help. A little goes a long way. the pork deal is actually rather cheap, you get two deals for under $5, surely you could afford to give $5 to a needy family!!
I was helped by Jamy, with her teaching me how to do couponing, now I am paying it forward. we all need to do the same!!

I live in Palm Bay. I did go to another Publix and they did not have it. So maybe that Publix put them out early.
I don’t have a Food Lion here either but they have accepted it 2 x’s.
I got an email from CVS for $3 off $15. If I were to go to Publix and get the charcoal, Pork, and wet ones I would only spend 50cents. If anyone wants me to foward them the email to print the coupon let me know.
I also found a coupon for Knorr’s (it prints out in spanish) for 45cents off 1 item and they are BOGO this week.I think 2 sides would be 70cents. Here is the link:

Not sure if yall have a Winn-Dixie but my friend told me that she goes in every week and gets a pack of gum or a drink and uses her reward card and on her reciept she gets $10 off $50 coupon to be used for the next week. Then she uses it at Publix. (That way you can get a double order at one time!!)
The Ocala Publix on 200 next to Paddock Mall has always taken my FOOD Lion coupons and Kmarts too.
I have shopped there (Ocala, Paddock) and I think they have taken my Food Lion coupons too.

The Forty East store in Ocala told me that they don’t accept Food Lion or Albertsons coupons. I have not tried to use them but since they are always so nice to me when I have a lot of coupons, I do not want to stir the pot.

The Stacy’s coupon is on the CVS webpage under the “In-Store coupons” tab when you link to the Weekly Circular. THe coupon itself says”$1 off Frito-Lay” but the Stacy’s chips are included on the coupon.

In fact, my web site name has some of the bartering origin in it. In my country, men (more men than women in the past) go to coffee shop and chit chat and trade are being bartered right there, for eg, in a conversation, a particular person would bring up to other men attention that Mr Wong is looking for a house and the other men knew that Mr Lee is selling a house etc. So, I name this web site as Seay kopitiam , seay is my husband last name and kopi is coffee, tiam is shop.
So, this web site is like a new version (or rather cyber age version) of coffee shop where we exchange ideas.
While I was in nursing school, I used to do my studies at the local BookAMillion bookshop as they have a corner there for people to read and there is also internet connection. So I used to do my studies there for a couple of hour and then when I go home, I would just concentrate on my family and no studies at home. While I was there, I met a woman who used to work with Sante Fe college, she was laid off and we talked about ideas on business. She wanted to form a co-orp where people can barter their skills. I thought that is a wonderful idea. However, I have not followed up with her and have not seen her ever since I stopped going to BooksAmillion since I start work.
So, what Lisa C brought up is a wonderful ideas.
We can even start this among ourselves, start small and grow big.
With this economy, most people are cash strap but people have skills that other do not have. For eg. hubby and I have no clue on how to fix anything in our home
but we are very good in computer and the list goes on.
For eg. the yard sales, some of you might not have the time to do the yard sales, some have. So the ones who do not have the time might want to subout to the ones who have the times.
I am willing to give 10-15% of my sales profit to anyone who is willing to sit through the yard sales for me and so is Laura C, she is willing to part 10-15% of the gross profit. It might not sound a lot but if you have a table that has very sellabale goos like dog food, charcoal, then the 10-15% is good.
In a yard sale like church yard sales, there are heavy traffic within a small confine area, if you sell 50bags of pet food for $2 each, that is $100, and 15% is $15, I sold 20 packs of my cat food within 15mins , so that is $4 within 15mins, not bad.
With more people, we have more goods to sell and less workers than each individual holding a yard sales. That is what I would like us to grow into, a co-orp started by a few like minded frugal woman.
Who knows in the long run, with the $ we saved, we can used that for investment ? For eg, when I first moved here, Gold was $250 an oz and now gold is $1000 an oz ?
Wealth = Saving + investment (very easy equation)
Ok, next is to find next week $ making deal.
