Guess how much Mayra spend on all these ?

Ok, this competition is open to all except Mayra :)

Mayra sent me this picture. In fact, she made 2 trips to get all these goods.

Competition entry condition :

1. Guess how much Mayra spend (closet to the cents)
2. All you have to do is leave a comment.
3. I am giving away a $10 Publix gift card to 1 lucky winner :)
(Mayra send me 2 receipts for the 2 trips but all I need from you is a total of how much she spend).

Thanks Mayra for taking the time to send the photo and receipts to me.

I will share the result on 11/14/09

Let me said something here, because I’m little upset, when I went today to publix, I saw a woman misusing the IP coupons, I’ll explain, there is a coupon for Cheese, the coupon said Save $1.50/2 Lbs. of Any Brand of Cheese, but the coupon no includede florida. And she used that coupon in Publix, I know that she knew, because in the page says that. If the people
misuses the the IP coupons, will affect those who use them correctly, People who visit this site please do not do that

Okay, gonna go out on a limb here and say $1.27…I sat and tried to figure out all the deals that Mayra may have gotten, but every time I attempt to do some of the deals she does she pays like a penny and I end up paying $5! HaHaHa! So, $1.27…that’s my best guess.

So, I did the cereal deal and the Nature Valley Nut Clusters deal today at the 40 East store in Ocala…the cashier was really sweet at first and I asked her if I could use 2 of the $4 coupons at one time. She said sure, as long as I had 8 items. So, I handed her my wad of coupons before she even started to ring me up. As she was ringing up the items and coupons she started to get upset and started flinging my food down into the bagging area. She dropped one of the cereal coupons and I pointed it out to her and she just looked at me like I was a criminal. I’m not sure what was going on in her head, but I felt like I had done something wrong, like she thought I was trying to scam her or something. I had the same amount of coupons as items and also she had already said that I could use both $4 coupons. She wouldn’t tell me my total, or say thank you or say anything to me. So, I just paid and left. I have no idea what was wrong, but I definitely did not feel welcome, or happy about the transaction.

Nichole, I live in Ocala and shop at Churchill Square Publix. I have never had any problems with using coupons there. Just tonight I used 2 of the $4 GM coupons along with many others! You should have politely spoken with the cashier about her customer service and if that didn’t go well then call later and speak with a manager. Sometimes people have bad days but it is no excuse for being rude to a customer! Thankfully, I have never experienced this in any Publix!

    Oh, I forgot…my guess is $2.57!

Just wanted to give a heads up as to my experience yesterday. Went to (Spring Hill???) Publix (on 39th Ave next to I75) and was going to use the GM $4/4 coupon on Betty Crocker cornbread mix…GREAT OVERAGE!! They are 2/$.89. So I get to the register and the cashier accidentally hits the wrong key and has to get a manager to override. CS Manager in a pink shirt comes over and starts all this talk about how a coupon value cannot exceed to item price. I said “Since when? Every publix in town allows overage.” So she tries to adjust it but I guess she must not have passed her math class because her math was off and she gave me a better deal than I would have got to begin with. She was very unpleasant and I do not plan to go back to that store. I’ve never had that issue at any Publix where they didnt allow overage. Oh well…just thought I’d share.

On my trip(s) I got 12 packs of BC Cornbread, 2 Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls, a head of lettuce, tomato, onion, and a pack of Stride gum for 74 cents. Not too shabby.

  42. Hi Everyone I Heart Publix has a great post to get a $5 off $20 cvs coupon that’s right it says $20 dated 12/31/09 (it prints out a huge black border and wastes alot of ink though :( ) and a $5 off $30 cvs coupon that you have to take a medicare test for it. If you can combine both coupons on one purchase you can save 10 bucks.

Here is the text she uses to explain how to do it:
Go to http://www.sunset.com/ . You may have to click around on the various tabs on the site, but at some point there will be a CVS banner that will be across the top of the screen saving “Get your $5 coupon”. When you hover over the banner, it will say “Peel back…..”, if you hover over the “peelie” they will disappear. When all of them are gone you will be presented with a button to print a $5/$20 CVS Q. This can be done once per computer per browser (so you can do it once on IE and once on Firefox, etc.). These do not expire until 12/31/09.

It just worked for me and I only clicked two pages! Remember you can also take the Medicare Quiz http://www.cvs.com/medicare/?WT.mc_id=FH_110209_CVSHome_Medicare_Part_D to earn a $5 off $30 coupon

    #5476
  43. I wonder if publix would freak if you combine a $5 off $20 a $5 off $25 and a $5 off $30 to save $15 per transaction
