Are we allowed to count a gift card purchase towards the coupon total? That would really be useful to me since I know someone in another state who has out of work for over a year. I can’t drop off food but would love to send gift cards.
that would be 8 items and 9 coupons. don’t think that would work, right?
The $5 off $20 cvs coupon actually says at the bottom “This coupon excludes alcohol, gift cards….”
where is the $5 off $20?? I have not seen that one. I only have the higher ones. can u send a link? thanks
Always buy fresh produce with overage.
Cindy,
Might be CVS would not accept but Publix might, ask the cashier or manager, since Publix treat it as competitor coupon and they are not going to reimburse anyway. I ask the cashier, she said ok cos it is competitor coupon and they are not going to reimburse. Also this does not guarantee all cashiers will take it, it all depends on which side of the bed they wake up that day.
Jamie, if > coupons than items, dump in an onion or something like that. I am sure all of you know the rule already.
Jennifer, check the Kevin’s comment on the price is right , he posted a link there.
Jamy, I’m not sure if this works for your challenge, but I think it is a good start and maybe you and your readers can help me work out the kinks.
Buy 5 tylenol pm and 1 $10 gift card.
Use 5 $2 manufacturer coupons and 5 green adv $3 coupon and 1 5off20.
??My question would be about the # of coupons since I am stacking.
Mendy,
Never mind, keep it rolling. I have to work tonight so I am going to go to sleep now.
Mayra, can u help out.
In this page http://save-a-lot.com/ we are find a MC and also a coupon of 5/20 Save-a-lot, and we are can use in Publix.
Mendy
Sorry I dont understand your question. Is the question about the quantities of coupon? Today went to Publix and I had more coupon than the item, sometimes have problemas with that, sometimes no, all depend the cahier or the manager, for me is fine. For me you can made that, I dont what think other people. I think sometines the problem is when we have overage.

You have to register first–you should be able to print 2 coupons.
Also, coupons.com has a printable for $1 off any coffeemate creamer. Since they are BOGO, you can print 2 & get them both for 19 cents.
Haven’t they started to put out all of those yummy holiday flavors by now?
let’s not forget about the mir that are out there. the real simple rewards which includes the uncle bens rice and nestle toll house cookies which is for $5 and there is also the real meal deal one for the aunt jemima pancakes buy 5 products get $5. I know I bought about 10 or 15 of the Uncle Bens rice, so I will be sending off for that.
Could you tell me how buying coupons off of ebay works? How long does it take to get the coupons you buy? My concern is that you won’t get them in time to use them for the current sale.
Thanks
Thanks Mayra for the Save-A-Lot Coupon. I also went on and looked at their printable coupons. They have save $1 on Keebler and Kellogs. If you combine Keebler man. coupon $1.50/2 and 2 $1 Save-A-Lot coupon and you get 2 Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies for 49cents!!!! You can also use 2 for the Kellogs and combine with the 2 !4 Man. and get free cereal!!!
Brenda,
I find buying coupons from ebay or coupon clipping sites suit my life style (I do not recommend to everyone, it all depends on your life style).
I work full time, part home school my boy so I find it more economical / efficient to buy coupons than cut/sort/file (takes too much time and sometimes my times are wasted just looking for those coupons, a few times I was late for work cos I could not find a few coupons which I knew must be there somewhere), so now I resort to buying coupons.
Best way to go about doing it is
a. set up a paypal account (allocate a certain amount of $ for just buying coupons, u can transfer $ from your checking or saving to paypal)
b. Best time to buy is when u see me posted on Wed night, go ahead and buy the coupons u know u want.
On ebay, u can select nearest distance from your area code.
This is what I do
I do not like to bid, I like to buy it now (save me from thinking if I get what I want if I bid for it)
From buy it now, I will select the couponers who live within 50miles from me (u will be surprise there are lots of people selling coupons)
Normally if I buy and paid on Wed, buy Fri/Sat I should get it.
Don’t worry about not getting the coupon in time, there is always RAIN Check.
To me, time is $. This kind of method allow me to spend my times on other thing which I think are more worthwhile than cutting/filing coupons.
For eg if I buy 20 sets of those Tylenol, most likely it will cost me like $1 and 99cent shipping.
Like my scenario, u buy 5 tylenol cost you $20 bucks. Use 5 x $3 (Publix coupons) + 5 $ MQ = $20
use the $5 off $20 to buy produce or something without coupons.
Turn around sell the tyleno for $1 each, LOL, you make $5 + $5 (the produce) (coupon cost you $2 bucks, still making $8 bucks)
But of course if you have the time to search on internet, print, file or buy newspaper , cut, file etc, then go ahead and do it.
I like to buy quantity. I started my extreme coupon with CVS and Walgreens but they have limit in quantity and the time spend is not worth it.
One incidence made me to stop doing CVS and Walgreens.
At one time, Publix has this shampoo for $2.49
There is a $1.50 coupon at Walgreen coupon booklet and there is a $1 coupons.
I went ahead and buy a whole bunch of coupons from ebay.
Walgreens coupon, Publix only scan 1 for 40 items, (that is time saving) and I just key in a few strokes to get the coupons on ebay.
What I end up is having 40 bottles of very nice shampoo for free. What I do with 40 shampoos, sell them to friends and neighbor, to them $1 a bottle is very cheap, so I end up making $30 with very minimum work (I keep 10 for myself
:):)
After doing it for a while, you will know what I mean.
And having said this, so you woman readers out there, there is a huge opportunity on coupons business
:)
Thanks Katie, that is cool !
The Sav-A-Lot coupons are manufacturer’s coupons–not store coupons. Unfortunately, this means that you cannot use them in conjunction with another manufacturer coupon.
Kelly
Is depend the Publix, because today went to Publix in HC and said that coupon is a competidor because they are no cant reimburse that coupon.
Im trying used that coupon with Target Coupon, and they said me, “both are competidor coupon”.
Here is what I am going to buy today
2 boxes Keebler Chips Deluxe $3.99
4 Boxes Kellogg’s Special K cereal $7.98
4 Cans Diced Tomatoes $2.78
2 Bottles Tylenol $7.98
2 Jars Ragu Pasta Sauce $2.19
1 Tub Cool Whip $1.50
2 Scotch Packaging Tape $3.19
Total: $29.61
Total after coupon: 56cents!!!!
Katie, Can you share what coupons you will be using? Thanks!
I would be VERY cautious about reselling any medications such as the Tylenol you mentioned above. I am not sure but would think you would need some kind of permit or license to sell meds. Also you are opening yourself up to a huge liability….
I tried to use the 5 off 20 coupon from Sav A Lot last night at the NW 13th Street and 39th Avenue Publix in Gainesville and it was refused. The manager said it need some kind of rewards card and therefore they would not honor it. When I got home, I say nothing on the coupon about using a card with the coupon…it seems this store is very inconsistent in their coupon use policy as I have had some bad experiences of there. Guess I will go a little out of my way and shop at the Hunter’s Crossing Publix….they are GREAT and very helpful to couponers.
Nic,
I had that declined once by the Millhopper one as well, same reason, I thought it was stupid cos the CVS $5 off $25 is ECB card as well.
It all depends on which cashier you goes, don’t be surprise you will meet one of those cashiers in Hunter Crossing too. I have done this too long, I knew it is all depend on the cashier you meet.
I met some really coupon friendly cashier in 13/39, she just scan through $5 off $20 without a blink and i have items that is $1.40 and the coupon is $2 and I use the overage to purchase a gift card, no problem at all, the next day same scenario, different cashier told me the store does not allow overage,so go figure !
Thanks for the information Jamy…..I love your website and the different scenarios you give. Your advice is a blessing to many!

Jamy
Oh my oh my, thank you Katie for your hard work, really appreciate it ! Thanks for the head up of the $5 off $25 of Walgreens.
thanks Katie!
There is also a 5/20 SAL coupon…combine one of those with one of the CVS 5/20 coupons for 10/40..my mind will start spinning round this one – i think this week will be about kashi and kellogs for us.
What Kellogg are good ? and what Kashi ?
Katie,
There is also a MQ when you buy Cool Whip and a Jell-O. I got both the other day since I will be making a jello salad for Thanksgiving. I also got cool whip and banana pudding for making a nice banana pudding for my hubbie. These worked well together because you have both store Q and MQ.

Thanks Lisa!!!
I just bought coupons on ebay for $1 off nilla Wafers and Free Cool Whip when you buy a box of Jello Pudiing and Nilla Wafers. There is also a Publix $1 coupon for Nilla wafers. Then the Nilla wafers box has a coupon on it for 55cents off bananas. I hope the Nilla wafers go BOGO!!! If so I will get the 2 Cool Whips, 2 puddings, $1.10 in bananas, and 2 boxes of Nilla wafers for free!!!
Does anyone know if Nilla wafers ever go BOGO?
I bought 20 $1 off Tylenol coupons on ebay today for $1.50. Hope I get it in time. I plan to donate the Tylenol for care packages to go to the military men and women overseas!!! I am going to keep trying to find ways to give with the free and cheap stuff I get. So far I have given away 3 bags of charcoal, biscuits, cereal, hamburger helper, and now Tylenol. I Love Couponing!!!
