Tshirts for turkeys

Julie like me to ask me to post this
“I wanted to present the group with a challenge. My radio station (91.7 the joy fm) anually does a “t-shirts for turkeys” drive where they collect either frozen turkeys or “paper turkeys” ($10 bills) to provide food to local food banks for the holidays, in return they will give you a t-shirt (until they run out) . Today was the 1st time this season for them to be in Gainesville. So without planning I ran over to Publix and picked up a turkey, and some other stuff and donated the turkey to their cause. My challenge is for everyone to see how little oop they can spend buying a turkey to donate. With no advance planning and not enough coupons onhand I spent $10.01 on a $14 turkey, 4 pillsbury cookies, and fillers. I know that I can do better than this but I wanted to participate in today’s event and I don’t mind donating $10 to a worthy cause
