“Hey Jamy,
I have roommates that work at Publix and they recently had a meeting where they went over some changes to the coupon policy. From what I understand, Publix will no longer be accepting multiple competitor coupons for the same item. So for example if you a Food Lion store coupon for $1 off Cambell’s soup, you could only use one of them. You can use a different Food Lion coupon on a different item (like vegetables), but you could not use another $1 off coupon for another can of Campbell’s soup. Also, in the past if you had a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25, you could use two of them for $10 a purchase of $50. Publix will no longer allow you to do this, even if you split a transaction into 2 separate $25 purchases. They will only accept 1 coupon per customer per day. (Since there is no way to reliably keep track of this though, you could always just go to a different store or come back later).
I’m not sure if all Publix stores will begin enforcing this, but this information came from the meeting at the Hunter’s Crossing store. I thought it would be good to pass this info along in case any of your readers run into this. Thanks again for all you do, I love your blog! “

Thought I would share with you. A few weeks ago I shared with you that you could get a pack of gum at Winndixie w/ the customer rewards card and get a $10 off $50. It didn’t work. Well my friend has gone several times and bought a WD $1.25 bag of potato chips and has gotten the $10 off $50 each time. I plan to try it this weekend. If anyone is tries it, let me know!
I ran into this problem at hunters crossing and the big tower road store yesterday. So it may be a system wide thing. I hope not. May just have to make more trips to publix and buy one thing at a time.
Thank you for the information! It is very helpful to know ahead of time what the policy is so that you are not trying to check out and holding up everyone behind you.
I am not looking to incite anyone to throw darts at each other, I’m just curious…are the Winter Family Savings books still around? Has anyone talked to Publix to find out if they will be getting more? Has anyone found those coupons printable from an online link?
I thought that was already the policy though. It has been at all the Publixes that I have gone to. But I usually go to Lake City.
RE Publix Policy Change
Last week during the morning, I shopped in a one of 3 close Publix stores. The cashier was a pleasure, upbeat and willing to take the time to counsel me on how to get more from my coupons, ie: using several competitor coupons in the same transaction. Today, armed with that knowledge, I was surprised (not really, since I read the above)to find that the policy had changed and they will now take only 1 competitor coupon at a time. It was good while it lasted!! sharon
Green Thumb,
I was just at the Main St. Publix tonight and they still had quite a few left AND they had another booklet All the Trimmings! Hope this helps.
Thank you Jennifer. I’m in Ocala so hopefully we’ll find them in this area.
