I am sure many of you were wondering where is Jamy ?
I have not update my blog for a number of days now.
And I had not shop in Publix since 11/23/09, 13th days (about 2 weeks). That is one of the advantage of being a extreme couponer, I am living on my stock pile.
Remember the pork/charcoal deal ? I still have at least 10 packs of pork in the freezer.
But, I think one of the reasons I am taking a break from coupon even though there are a number of free things is I am burnt out ! Not from work but from couponing 
I told Julie when I met her at work that I am stopping coupon ! She said ‘You won’t Jamy, why do you want to do that to me. I am going to kill you.”
I giggled at her respond.
In fact, I am thinking of my new year resolution on coupon.
These are the questions which I have been asking the last few days ?
a. How am I going to handle about Publix policy changes ? (since a lot of your sent me email, it gave me the pobia to go to Publix :), scare to take the reality blow
b. How do I max my saving if they do not accept $x/$y off ?
c. Is it really a store policy or is it cashier variance (I yet to find out)
d. Should I study another store policy and have other option if I could not max my saving ? I knew some of you knew about TotallyTarget
(I knew this year, I only spend like $500 for everything the household need and I still have like a year supply of toilet paper , plus I still have enough laundry detergent for a year, enough shampoo for another 6months and etc… How do I keep up with my record of less than $1k a year ? )
While thinking about all these , I also have come up with a 2010grocerychallenge for you and for myself.
I like to recruit a few of you to be my member on this challenge.
This is the condition :
a. Get a small storage (a shoe box would be the best) that you store all your receipts.
b. Set a goal of x% you want to saved.
c. Tally each month on
Total Spend =
Total saved =
Total % saved =
d. I will give out a $x Publix gift card at end of the year for the person who saved the most %.
This challenge is not for the fainted heart because it takes commitment ( I knew how hard it is just to tally the receipts). And for some of you who are really committed to do this challenge, we might even consider meeting once a month in exchanging ideas , for eg. doing yard sales, flee market etc…
I am trying to decide how much the $x amount it, it will not be less than $100.

There is a software that you can download that is free, it is call bullzippdf printer
It is free, once you download, you set it as default printer, so everything you want to print will go to pdf format, if you decided not to use that, you can always set your printer to other printer setting.

All the stores I have been to still accept $x/$y coupons just one at a time. So you make multiple trips if u have too. Unfortunately you can only use 1 competitor coupon per item (for instance if you buy 2 Kellogg cereals and you have a target coupon for Kellogg you can only use 1 target coupon not 2) but you can still get good deals and again you have to make multiple trips.

I agree with Kevin. I think it’s a little strategy when you’re buying. and make several trips to the store.

Tiffany if Publix considers Harveys a competitor there is a $5.00 off store purchase coupon (PDF)expiring December 8, 2010. You can find the coupon at http://www.iheartpublix.com under FLIPS. When you print the coupon it does not state you have to spend $25.00. I hope this helps.

I don’t think Harvey’s is considered a publix competitor in any G-ville stores. Has anyone been able to use these, and if so, which store?

How do you all get your best deals on toilet paper? I don’t find many coupons for TP.

I think we have like the next year supply of TP 
Albertson has this $1 TP and there is a $1 coupon. And also WG at one time has the shoe sole that give $10 RR and there is a $10 coupon which my friends gave me. So the shoe sole was free with coupon and $10 RR and there is 25cents TP and I used that $10RR to buy the 25cents TP. It was in the video that Gainesville Sun done on me. The lady who did the video said it is the most retarded thing she see when I lined the TP against my living room wall. It was quite a sight
The other thing that I usually do stock pile at the beginning of the year is laundry detergent.
Sometimes WG has really great deals on this stuffs.
