Italian days deals

Date : 2/19/10

I am sure you all know about this. Have been slow with coupon update as we are nearly at the end of our house hunting adventure. Yes, we made an offer for our home on Monday and waiting to for the seller signatures.

This coupon booklet has tons of coupons to match the sales on Publix :
italianstockup

You can print it out here : italian

I saw a tearpad on progresso soup for $1/2

I use progresso soup a lot so I am going to stock pile them

This is my plan

Buy 16 progresso soup @ 2.29 buy 1 get 1 free
$2.29 x8 = $18.40
4 Progresso Bread Crumbs @ 1.93 buy 1 get 1 free
1.93 x2 = $3.86
Total before coupon = 22.26

Coupon to be used :
8 of the $1/2 MQ (tearpad) for the soup = $8
4 of the $1/4 Publix coupon (Italian days) for the soup = $4
1 of the $1/4 Publix coupon (Italian days) for the bread crumb = $1
1 $5 off $20 = $5
Total coupon used = $18
Total paid = $4.26

16 packs of soup + 4 pack of bread crumbs

I think it is a great deal.

    Jamy,
On I heart CVS there is another 5 off 20, so we could add this to the deal to make overage and get fresh fruit!!! Then this would only be cents. What do you think?

The tearpad coupons are for Progresso broth not soup, although the broth is BOGO also. Not sure if you can use more than one of the same Publix Italia coupons in the same transaction, coupon states Limit one purchase per coupon per customer…..I have just been using one of each per transaction and filling in the remainder of the 20 items with either the Green Giant frozen vegies or Green Giant canned vegies that are BOGO. Could be wrong but don’t think your transaction will work.

Also, there was a tearpad for the broth for $1/2 MQ combine that with the PQ $1/4. Get 4 cans on sale bogo $2.59 =5.18 use one PQ $1/4 and two MQ $1/2 =$2.18 for 4 or $0.55 each.
    Get twenty = $25.90
    use 5 PQ $1/4 = $5
    use 10 $1/2 = $10
    use one $5/20 PQ = $5
get 20 broth for $5.90 or $0.30 ea

I use alot of broth when cooking in my crockpot (which I do alot of with the hours I work)

would be even better if you have a CVS $5/20. Can you imagine getting 20 broth for $0.90, that would be $0.05 each!!!!

    Jessica,

I have both the broth and the soup.

I used to wonder about one purchase per coupon per customer.
What it means is you can use 1 coupon on 1 item.
You cannot use 2 coupons on 1 broth. I asked the mgr before cos I am not sure.

With Pubix coupon, you can use as many as you want.

    You can use
    N ( Publix coupon + M coupon)
    N = 1 to ….

But again, it all depends to the cashier, the king of the store , LOL :)

I am totally disgusted with our local couponers.
There is a $5 off $20 for General Mill coupons in Albertson (consider competitor) and all Albertsons coupons are gone when I went there on Friday morning. And the most disgusting thing is someone even tear off the $5 off $20 from the displaced ads.

What is our couponers ethics gone ? This is like the 3rd world where the looters went into the shops steal and rob instead of helping the victims.

What are we turn into ? A 3rd world ? The most beautiful and bountiful country ? I am sad !

I hope none of you who are my readers do the looting of the Albertson’s General Mills $5 off $20 coupons.

I will shut down my blog for just that and would only do private email to friends on deals.

Yeah, that always breaks my heart when I go to find a coupon and they are all gone. I try not to assume that one person took them all, because for all I know, 10 people came in and got 10 each. But, then again, it could always be one person. I try to make sure that I get enough for my family (10 is my limit) and consider that there are other people out there who want to save money too.
That being said, I’m anxious to find the new book mentioned on Southern Savers (Healthy Meals, Healthy Kids) so I can stock some more McCormick spices and Uncrustables sandwiches around here. I’ve called around the most of the stores and they all said they didn’t have any yet, but maybe they will soon. And, Jamy, hopefully you are right and everybody will exercise a bit of restraint when it comes to spreading the wealth. I understand that we all do this to maximize our own savings and well-being, but at some point its just getting greedy. It’s getting hard enough for us to “fight the man” over using coupons (Publix) without us having to fight each other over getting coupons.
Happy (and responsible) couponing to all!
Oh yeah, and if anyone happens to locate that coupon book, we could agree to “discretely” send out those private emails… hotcouponmoma@yahoo.com ;-)

    Jamy-
:( sad to hear- I have heard a lot more complaints about couponers recently. Don’t know if # of couponers has increased a lot or just more couponers w/ bad ethics?
I keep thinking about everywhere that doubles qs. Some of their deals are more shocking than ours- how then do they not have the same “ethic” issue?
On a better note- glad to hear about your house. I hope it works out :)

It was my understanding that the $5 off 10 GM Q was only available in the home delivered newspaper, has anyone actually seen it in the store? I got the coupon you guys are discussing about, it was a one sheet flyer, folded with the regular sales ad, with a $5 off 50 purchase on the front. I really don’t think this coupon would be found in the store. These 2 high value Q’s were delivered with Wednesdays paper.

Also, what deals have you guys thought of stacking the $5 off 10 GM with?
