Recently our county has the biggest cut in the most recent 20 years; and the biggest cut is enforcement area. Well, today I read from Washingtonpost.com that

To ease the overcrowding and save California about $1.1 billion over two years, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) has proposed freeing about 22,000 prisoners convicted of nonviolent, nonsexual offenses 20 months earlier than their scheduled release dates. He also wants to place them on unsupervised parole, saving the state the cost of having all parolees assigned to an agent.

I think that is a good move though might not be the best.

One of my very good girlfriends lost her job last month. Her work involved auditing companies all over United States. Though she knew it was coming but she did not expect that soon. She and many Americans are filling in claims for their first unemployment benefit. I personally consider the unemployment benefit a good figure : $640 a week for 6 months, ie $2.5k a month. But, the question is if the recession continues , how long can our government continue to pay out unemployment benefit ? I wonder if the recession continues, my girlfriend is going to get any job at all. This new from Bloomberg.com definitely does not bring music to most listener ears : U.S. Initial Jobless Claims Fell to 357,000 Last Week.

Unless you start your business without working for other people, I am sure most of us have encountered working for people in one way or another in our lives.
